!! Headcanon disclaimer !!

Korvax priests tend to be the tallest korvax you find. Historically, this was because it helped them to stand out in crowds as spiritual leaders. The reason that Nada is so elaborately dressed compared to other korvax relates to this. Capes, pauldrons and the like added to that presence traditionally.

This meant that korvax priests were also easy to pick out by the First Spawn though. They were obvious targets as removing them was demoralising to the religious korvax population.

Leading up to and after the destruction of Korvax Prime, priests ended up reluctantly letting go of the tradition. Some had their casings modified so that they were shorter and most stopped wearing their traditional garb. They no longer wished to be so easy to spot in crowds, just in case.

Nada continues to wear such things out of defiance, another way to distance themself from the Korvax Convergence's current standards. Also because it, along with Terminal Prime, are the only reminders they have of a home that was destroyed as they came into existence.
