You remember when I said that Randal is actually Ed's bloodline son, who hates him what he had done with him and his brother, especially with his brother. Now imagine! What if Illinois is actually the third child! He's the oldest. And Ed didn't just sell him like his brother, oh no. When Illinois was like 10, Ed realised that kids are not for him. So he took his then just only son to a trip where he directly lost him in a cave. At home he said he died by a boulder.
