Still going. Even with my mom dying. All those weeks, I never even thought about drinking. I did want a cigarette a few times but I stuck it out. 🥹

I just wanna say that today makes TWO WEEKS OF NO CIGARETTES!!! 🙌🏼☺️🚭
hardest goddamn thing I've ever done and I really didn't think I'd make it this far but IM DOIN IT!
14 days 19 hours 10 minutes
I'm disappointed in myself but also okay with it, I went almost 6 months with no smoking but because of lack of ability to deal stress in recent life events I caved and bought a pack. I am still losing weight though so I have hope for hitting/sticking with one goal for this year. When I am ready I will try to quit smoking again.
Quit smoking
Well, i know that the most of you are not interested in any kind of post except the miniature painting, and thats totally okay with me. But today i am hardly thinking to quit smoking. I am 31 years old, father of the best 2 daughter you can think of and husband of the greatest wife i can imagine. I smoke for about 16 years. About 20 to 30 cigarettes a day. The last few weeks i noticed that i am fastly exhausted at things i am completely used to, like running up stairs or “light” climbing. Now i seek motivation to quit smoking, because thats the only cause for those symptoms i can imagine.
Maybe you could tell me your quit smoking story, or have good hints how to really quit it. I am thankful for every little help i can get.
Update: i'm still smoking. But today is my last day at work. Then i have 3 days off. I am willing to try to quit with the end of my working day at 0:40 a.m. 3 days without smoking ... if i'll do this ... i can completely quit.
This Day in History: 24 February (Friday!) 1939
a.k.a. A Cigarette-less Canteen in Colombia with Ellsworth P. Killip
Friday 24 February - 55th Day - St. Matthias - 310 Days to come
All out of cigarettes, tho C.M being sold out. Smoked my last ones after breakfast. Reached B'ventura about 2 pm; pd. 15¢ for a cigarette. Worked like hell on dried & drying plants and packing. Went on board Sta Clara with Hernando & Bylander. A few drinks
Shared via Smithsonian Institution Archives and the Field Book Project, these field notes from an expedition to Colombia reveal that this particular Friday found Killip lacking tobacco but not diligence in drying plants and packing.
5 miles of total suck. Steve said his felt the same, the air was terrible, he was wheezing, his legs hurt. I don’t want his to be awful but hey, it’s always validating.
Maintenance strength workout
I hadn’t weighed myself since Friday (160.2) and today I hit 158.5 on the scale - first time I’ve been under 160 in 3 years and 14.8 pounds down since June 1. I am very proud of myself.
And, 15 days no cigarettes, 50 days no alcohol. Fucking awesome.
