it ended up being infected enough that they decided to take it out early. i’ve been sleeping on and off all evening, but im finally coherent enough for an update. i go home tomorrow as long as i can keep solid foods down and everything looks normal.

Hi you’re canadian right? So you know about deers and ticks? How worried should I be if I just got a bitten by a tick? I think it only lasted like around two hours latched on me but I’m kinda freaking out because in my home country there are no deer ticks and I dunno what to do next what would you do?

Ticks can be nasty buggers but there’s no cause for immediate alarm. The first thing you want to make sure is that you didn’t squeeze the tick or twist it when pulling it off, the trick is to use tweezers and pinch it as close to the skin as possible then gently pull. If there’s any chance that there’s still some of the tick inside you then please call your doctor. If you squeezed it and it exploded you might have been exposed to the blood of whatever else it was feeding from so that’s also something to get checked out.

If it was removed properly then make sure to wash the area thoroughly and just monitor yourself for a bit. If you develop a large rash, get headaches, or develop any kind of breathing problems/heart palpitations then call your doctor right away.Light swelling and redness are normal but if it gets out of hand then get someone to look at it. If none of those symptoms appear you should probably be fine. People and animals get bitten by ticks all the time. 

Next time you’re out in those areas make sure you do a thorough self-check when you get back inside!

UGH. 

So I’m working on a Sith Inquisitor who will romance Khem Val in 5.10. I just finished Belsavis. 

And I just got the Drifting conversation with Andronikos. One of my favorite romance confirmation conversations in the freaking game. 

Only problem? I haven’t taken a single flirt with Andronikos. My gal hasn’t slept with him. Didn’t get the date with him. But apparently, she’s now in a relationship with him. This absolutely breaks my heart, because Andronikos is my favorite romance in the damn game. 

And now I have to end things with him. *sobs*
