Sandeul's Eyebrows turned 5 today! Well, Monday is when the email showed up, but I forget to check email on a daily basis so just found it. Five years and still mesmerized by Sandeul’s eyebrows.

B1A4 Appreciation Week: Day 7

I have thought about this a lot, what would I write for Day 7. I decided on, if I could write a letter to B1A4 and know that they would see it, what would I want to say. It was hard to find the words, but this is what I came up with.

Dear B1A4,

I am so grateful to you for being who you are, for what you do, and how you do it. You are five wonderful individuals, who create music that brings me a wide range of emotions, and you do this all while remaining very kind and striving for doing the very best you can. I am happy to consider myself a BANA because you are such amazing and talented people. I appreciate all the effort that goes into bringing us all the albums and music videos and concerts that you do.

I may be far away from South Korea, I may not really understand the language. But I still cheer for you everyday in my own ways and I am trying everyday to better understand you in the ways I know how.

I hope that you always receive lots of love, joy, happiness, good food, and sleep. People often underestimate how much sleep they really need. Please get plenty of sleep.

B1A4 Appreciation Week: Day 3

Favorite Era:

Since I have very poor perception of time and often get the order of when things happened very confused, I am just going to focus on favorite music video/release song as that is all I feel capable of talking about.

There are things about each of the music videos and songs associated with them that I love I am going to focus on the two that mean the most to me and both occupy the top spot when I think about the music videos and songs B1A4 has released.

What's Going On/What's Happening:

This music video is the one that made me notice them. We had just accidentally discovered the Korean/Chinese/German channel, and I was enjoying the new music that I was hearing as the Korean part of the channel primarily played the more upbeat sounding music and I like things that sound upbeat. I still could not even tell individual word sound when the What's Going On/What's Happening video played. There was something about the artistic style of the video, the fact that I had a pretty good idea what the song was about based on the storyline of the video even though I know no Korean, and their sound just registered higher in the level of joy it brought when listening to them that the other groups I had also heard and enjoyed, did not achieve. I couldn't explain it then, and it is still hard to really explain it now. There was just something about these five guys in this video that appealed to me enough to make me look them up on YouTube to see what other videos they had.

Beautiful Target:

This was the music video and song that made me fall in love with B1A4. I really enjoyed the sounds of their voices in What's Going On/What's Happening, but when we got to Beautiful Target and Sandeul's part specifically, there was pretty much no way for me to not be a fan and as much as I tried not to become basis to one specific person in the group, Sandeul stole me away the instant he opened his mouth in. The video itself was also a visual treat for me as I love bright colors and playful things and this video was wholly bright colors, playful sets, and playful people. It was like the perfect video had been created for me to watch. Any time I need a pick me up, even if I cannot actually watch the video or listen to the song due to migraines, I can think about it and it makes me smile and helps me feel a little better. In fact, I am not sure I can listen to the song without smiling, and I definitely cannot watch the video without smiling and probably laughing a little. It was that video and song that made me think, I must own all the music they release. It was that video that made me share a KPop video with my husband, which made him decide to order everything they had released to that point for me without me even asking.

These two videos, always stand in the forefront for me, not just because I enjoy the songs and visuals of the video, but because of the parts they played in bringing me to B1A4 in the first place, so they will probably always be my favorites. Others have come close, Solo Day did a very good job at trying to shake the top spot from them, but these two managed to hang on and Solo Day slid in right behind them.

B1A4 Appreciation Week: Day 1

I saw others doing this and thought it was nice and would try and join in.

Why do I like B1A4?

As a group, the primary reason and the initial reason I became interested them, is the tones of their voices when singing. For me, when they sing, it must activate a pleasure center in my brain, because I feel different when I listen to them over how I feel when I listen to most others. I have noticed that with certain singers, there is another level of joy achieved when listening to them that most do not bring me, and B1A4 brings me that higher level of joy.

I also like B1A4 as people. There are things about each member that I like and I think overall they are good/nice people, working very hard to do the best they can for their fans. They also make me laugh regularly, which is always a good thing. I appreciate them for who they were when they started, who they are now, who they want to be, and the journey they are taking to get there.

Picture above, unintended B1A4 nail polish selection. I was going for pastel rainbow and only realized afterwards when I was showing my husband the B1A4 construction paper fan art I had been working on, that I used the same colors for the nail polish. Not sure if the fan art inspired the nail polish selection, but I thought it was funny and I don't have a B1A4 picture/gif of my own to share.

quick update

last night my fingers became really swollen and painful, this morning they were more painful and it made it down to my wrists. now it has made it to my elbows. so the tumblr is going to be quiet while i wait the swelling out.

i can barely hold the bottle with my juice in it right now that i have been using as my sole source of food when my husband isn't home due to how messed up my digestive tract is so i am not sure how long this will take. just glad he has the next couple days off, i think, so that i can still eat regularly.

Before I start my reblog for the day I want to just spazz about Sandeul saying anything about NASA and going into space for the One Fine Day show. Yay Science and Astronomy and anything about Space because when I was 10 I fell in love with Star Trek: TNG and totally wanted to live on a space ship. Then it turned out that I have a problem with enclosed spaces with no obvious exit so that idea dropped off pretty quickly.

But I still love that he even had that thought in his brain to do. Whether it was because he is really into outer space or because he just thought it would be exciting and cool I have no idea. But I totally spazzed for a few minutes after he suggested it as something to do. Looking forward to the second sub of the show to see if there is more about it/easier to understand translation.

Okay, returning to normal. Now to go and hunt down more deulbrow pictures to share.

Every time I try to play YouTube videos now my laptop starts over heating to the point I can't touch it so something is definitely wrong with it. Currently listening to Solo Day on my tablet, so at least there is that. I just have to be careful not to destroy the battery on that like I did with the laptop during Lonely comeback.

Not sure what I'm going to be able to do about the laptop because no money to replace, no money to fix, in general no money. It has been having more issues since one of the recent updates, although exactly which one I don't know. The thing is about five years old and is probably well due a retirement, but if I don't have the laptop, there is a lot I can't do on the tablet (like tumblr, the tablet seems to really dislike tumblr because none of the images load for me no matter what I do). So I would basically be down to youtube and twitter on the tablet as far as B1A4 stuff is concerned and while I don't use the laptop for a lot of things, I do use it for more than just B1A4 stuff. Thinking about stripping everything off it and reinstalling slowly to see if that might help.
