Sometimes another guest at one of those endless parties and dinners would ask me what I did for a living. My answer always seemed like it was more about the past than the present.

RWBY Volume 7: Ironwood and Team RWBY
Everyone’s siding with either one side or the other, mainly Ironwood’s, and I don’t really have one.
Both have had valid reasons to do what they did and both are gonna have to deal with the aftermath of their choices. I know everyone’s already made up their mind here, but I don’t think this is an easy decision for both parties.
Some of you guys may think I’m wrong or stupid for thinking this way and that’s completely fine. I’ve made up my mind, however, and I can’t wait to see how this is gonna affect the story moving forward.
For the hard question and no easy answer for Trevelyan: 20. Are there people in this world who, no matter how much time and penitence is given, should never be forgiven? 30. Do we live in a world of parallels? Can there be no hope without grief? No happiness without suffering? Or is a utopia possible? Thanks!! :)
Thank you for the ask!!
20. Are there people in this world who, no matter how much time and penitence is given, should never be forgiven?
“Yes,” Trev’s answer is swift and firm. “There are some crimes that are unforgivable. Would you forgive Corypheus?” The question is posed almost as a challenge. “I wouldn’t. No matter what what he does in penitence. Some crimes are too great, some sins are too heavy.”
30. Do we live in a world of parallels? Can there be no hope without grief? No happiness without suffering? Or is a utopia possible?

The final verdict has not been made, and the uncertainty may continue for quite some time, if not forever.
Siri Hustvedt, from The Blazing World
If you could only choose between saving your former Beloved and your current fiance Beloved who would you save?
“Ah...ahaha...hahaha! I’ve b-been thinking about this f-for hours now. I c-can’t choose! I l-love them! 私の心の痛い!これは絶望!”
24?
24. How do you feel about tears? Are they cowardly and weak? Do you cry? Would you consider that shameful?
“*hic* D-do you th-think I’m sh-shameful? F-forgive me!”
“I’ve cried m-more than the average p-person. At th-this point it can be used t-to manipulate others into—into not hurting me. B-but it can st-still be a weakness...I still cry over silly th-things...”
21?
21. Are there people in this world you simply think the world would be better without? If you could erase them out of existence without physically murdering them, would you?
“I’m g-guessing you mean other than m-myself...there r-really aren’t many, b-but...”
“Why would I deprive myself of the satisfaction of retribution?”
No I meant 1 and 3
“Hehe, whoopsie! Let’s try those then.”
1. Which should be saved – a bus full of innocent lives or a loved one?
“Ooh, a morality problem! On one hand, I would do anything for my Beloved. On the other, the despair of choosing not to save her would be so p-painful. But in the end, despair is not only choosing to do the wrong thing. It is also the lack of options. And-and because there are opportunities to save her, I will take them.”
3. If you could jump back through time to save a loved one’s life, would you? Despite what it might to do the timeline? To everyone else? Do you believe it is their fate to die regardless?
“I w-would! I t-tried so hard...I wasn’t f-f-fast enough before. I would do anything to s-save my Beloved.”
