please never ask a military child where they are "from". We are not "from" anywhere. We are children of the world. Children of travel, wonder, loss, confusion, and moving on. Most of us have already lived in more places than some people will go in there lives. I'm not trying to sound like that makes us better or anything. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is, we don't have a "from", most of us don't call where we were born our "home". So spare us from explaining all this to you. And just know, we are from the world.
