intro post

i was talking to my bus friend about crushes today and it was interesting. cuz i was talking about how one of my friends was being annoying about two of my other friends’s crushes and she was talking about how someone in her class was being annoying about her situationship thing from nearly a year ago. i know the boy she has a crush on, she told me about how she had a crush on a guy over the summer but he was a dry texter. i mentioned how i told my annoying friend that the reason i didn’t wanna tell him my crush was because he sucks at keeping secrets and is annoying about crushes, so she technically knows i have a crush on someone. the thing is, she doesn’t know i’m a lesbian, i don’t think she’s homophobic but she’s said she “doesn’t understand how someone can be gay at our age” cuz we’re young and stuff. so idk i jst haven’t told her cuz i don’t want stuff to become weird, like we used to be best friends in preschool and now we only talk on the bus, so i wouldn’t want my being gay to be the reason we completely stop being friends. so yeah that’s kind of why i don’t like talking about crushes with her, at least not talking about my own crushes, i do talk about other people’s crushes drama (cuz that’s all the drama there is). also the only reason i think i would ever tell her i’m gay is if i end up dating someone because at that point she’d either figure it out or i would need to tell her to be able to talk about related stuff (cuz on the bus we talk about school and drama a fair amount cuz we’re in very different friend groups)

i think my mom needs to learn that the world doesn’t revolve around her. like i love my mom, she is a good mom, but she is a bit of a karen. like when our flight was gonna be delayed so they could fly out a different flight, she said she was gonna email the airline and tell them they can’t do that. which was really embarrassing to listen to. or when i complained to her about my teacher and she got me moved out of his class (that’s a long and complicated story tho). that was nice. and yesterday when she told me that if i got another extension on my ela project, she’d email my teacher and tell her to give me a zero and “watch as my 4.0 disappears”. actually a wild thing to say considering last time i failed a summative and my 4.0 went away i cried to her about it (there was a lot going on around then, that wasn’t the sole factor but still).

and also, i’m gonna be a teenager for a moment, on that last one, what the fucking hell. my brother had so many missing assignments when he was my age that i’m pretty sure teachers intervened and they like had a plan made for him. he got to that point with my mom not saying anything other than occasionally bugging him about it plus he wasn’t involved with anything, he has zero extracurriculars and literally just sat around and played on his computer all day. and yet when i get an extension on one project because i was in the musical, which my teacher offered to all the kids in the musical to get an extension, she threatens to email my teacher and tell her to give me a zero. i take german outside of school, i was in the musical, i am in a lot of school clubs, and yet, when i get an extension (therefore making the project not late) and procrastinate a bit on doing it, it’s a problem! like what the hell. it’s like just because i’m a high achieving person who does a lot of of things that i can’t make any academic mistake, i can’t procrastinate, i can’t turn something in late, and i can’t even get a fucking extension. like shouldn’t you be glad i got an extension?? why are you mad that i am on top of my late projects?? like genuinely i don’t wanna talk to her about projects or homework or grades or anything school related because she’s just gonna go teacher mode on me and tell me i have to do whatever it is right now or email someone. like i complained about a teacher to her once and she was gonna call the principal. i had to tell her not to call the fucking principal. you know how embarrassing that would be?? the teacher was the musical director, it would be so embarrassing to have my mom email the principal because i complained about my musical director. plus that could affect my casting in the future so that would double suck. like i don’t like filtering my words to the degree i’m starting to have to, i want to be able to talk to her about school stuff, but i just can’t anymore. she’s a teacher and it’s like she thinks every school thing is her school thing

also i feel like teenagers can’t complain anymore. like i watch movies and shows set in the 2000s, 90’s, or even the 80’s and they yell at their parents or slam the door or even just have an argument with them. and they just get send to their room or grounded. obviously i know that isn’t perfectly accurate and there definitely were exceptions and that might even not be the overall situation for everyone, but still. i make one negative comment and it’s like i just told my mom to fuck off. i can’t slam the door, i can’t yell, i can’t even get an extension on a project without getting in trouble, like technology taken away or an email getting sent or smth else

and i do genuinely love my mom, she is a good mom, it’s just specifically with school stuff, she likes to micromanage

i finished my multicultural story (a.k.a my book that i was crashing out about yesterday)!! :D

i didn’t tell my parents that i still needed to do the about the author page and the dedication page and i did both in the block before ela but shhh it ended up okay :D

my study guide (i have a test a week from tomorrow)

clean my room (there’s cardboard, clothes, a backpack, a blanket, and a ukulele on the floor. it is very difficult to walk through my room rn)

ice my back or take a tylenol or smth (my friend kicked my chair out from under me (my fault) and my back hurts)

shower (my hair’s greasy and i have paint all over me)

read (i need to read like 940 pages by the end of the tri, which is super easy but i always forget to read)

whenever i’m in a call with my friends we sometimes show our camera roll, mine is mostly normal, except for screenshots of uquizzes and picrews i’ve done on here, like one picrew had a genderqueer flag pin and so i jst scrolled past it immediately and they didn’t say anything

but like how can they just show their entire camera roll so easily?? like i have so many screenshots of my flags and stuff

guys is it weird that if i don’t finish a book in one sitting, i will almost never finish reading it

my friend is straight (to my knowledge, she might be bi tbh), i have not explicitly told her i’m a lesbian (i actually did once point out smth with the lesbian colors and say “omg it’s my flag!” in front of her and she was like “lesbian?” and i was like “yeah” so actually she probably knows lol, ig i have explicitly told her i’m a lesbian oops) either way, i was very shocked to see that she liked that, cuz we don’t interact on tiktok at all other than following each other

dunno why she found that video, maybe she IS the straight girl using that sound, maybe she just got the video. i wonder what she thought when she saw my comment tho lol

that’s also why i can’t comment anything about my crush or being trans/genderfluid cuz this is NOT the first time someone has found one of my comments

anyways, moral of the story, if your friends follow your tiktok, don’t comment things you don’t want them knowing, especially if it’s on a popular/viral video

Ok I have a “serious” question. If you identify as a girl but were born with man parts and like girls are you a lesbian? is there a hard and fast rule for that or is it at the persons discretion?

yes you would probably be a lesbian. however “liking girls” could also mean you’re bi, pan, omni, etc. i’m assuming you mean just girls tho based on the question

cuz most people who identify as binary trans (use she/her as a girl or he/him as a boy exclusively) identify the same way cis people do for sexuality, so if you’re a trans woman who likes only men, you’d be straight, if you’re a trans woman who likes only women, you’d be lesbian, same with trans guys
