The dragons leaving/dying or anything of the sort in HTTYD 3 would be awful. If that would happen I would make sure someone would pay with their lives. Probably dreamworks.
Blame Cressida Cowell, author of the book series. She’s the beloved demon who came up with the idea in the first place. Granted, Dean DeBlois pretty directly announced he will piggyback on the concept of the dragons’ disappearance in the movie!verse - so DreamWorks will have more than some blame, of course… but if you have to murder anyone for the horrible pain, start with her. Thank her for the amazing story, setting, and characters before you follow through with it. ;) Then you can pillage DreamWorks if you still feel the need for more revenge. I might join you.
