I'm getting seriously concerned for european weather
Disclaimer: the weather seems to be similar in most of europe, but keep in mind that I'm mostly talking about english weather here
So most people know about that really bad heatwave almost a month ago, but the heatwaves started before then in late may and june. Normally we get 3-5 heatwaves from may to august reaching of about 27°C at most, but this year they've been hotter, longer, and more frequent than any other year I can remember, and we haven't had any proper after-heatwave storms either, not even after the 40°C one, just pathetic drizzle. No thunder, no lightning, just heat. It's gone from scary to terrifying
I will admit that whilst I know and care about climate change, it's barely affected my daily life at all up until now, so it's always seemed like an important but far away issue. But now it's at my doorstep as well as everyone else's and it's no longer "make sure to reduce, reuse and recycle!" and more of "I want to destroy every single government and corporation that has willingly ignored climate change issues" and "I want to cry but it won't fix anything" and "how many gits can I hit over the head with a frying pan?"
I just want to be a human without some powerful shithead making decisions that will effect my life and death
