“I made this poster to support ongoing efforts to stop the Jordan Cove Liquefied Natural Gas terminal and Pembina pipeline, a fossil-fuel boondoggle that the people of southern Oregon and Northern California have been resisting for several years now. Rural people, Indigenous people, youth, elders and everyone who loves the land have maintained a spirited opposition to this terrible idea, and have won several important victories. Unfortunately the fight isn’t over until it’s over, and this is a reminder of that. In addition to this edition on nice paper, I made a big run of this print on cheaper paper for Rogue Climate to distribute in affected communities. Sales of this print will support more work like that. More information about the fight to stop the pipeline is available here.

I implore my tumblr friends to help stop the LNG pipeline!!!

The LNG pipeline is proposed to be routed through 400 bodies of water, Yurok, Karuk, and Klamath tribal land, as well as privately owned land. It is an explosion hazard. It uses fracked gas. It is proposed to go from Canada across southern Oregon - where earthquakes are not unusual. It would produce 2.1 million metric tons of carbon dioxide per year. There wouldn't even be any permanent jobs for locals (not that it would be justifiable regardless). It is so important that we stop this. What can you do about it? 

LET THE GOVERNMENT KNOW YOU GIVE A FUCK -

1) Go to the Federal Energy Regulatory Committee website ( https://ferconline.ferc.gov/eRegistration.aspx ) 2) register (link ^) and verify your registration through email 3) Go to the "ecomment" section in the right side menu 4) Enter the "docket" numbers: CP13-483-000 AND CP13-492-000 5) Give them your take on why temporary economic gain isn't worth environmental destruction. 6) signing these petitions may also help (however sending a complaint to FERC is the most powerful thing to do right now) - http://www.nolngexports.org/sign-the-petition/

No Border Wall

South Texas is under assault by the Republican Right Wing agenda to construct a monolithic structure segmenting the beautiful Rio Grande Valley, home to 1.4 million people and one of the most biodiverse regions in the United States. Not only do they want to build a border wall, but underneath they plan on building AN OIL PIPELINE to go directly under our towns and communities. Also, Republicans are investing in major LNG exports near SPI and Port of Brownsville that will devastate the aquatic habitat of the Rio Grande Valley and entire gulf of Mexico. These are very very very very frightening times. Please say a prayer for us.
