i like the Nimona book. I hate the movie. here's why I refuse to watch the movie:
1: Ambrosius' BEAUTIFUL GOLDEN HAIR is GONE!! THAT'S THE MAIN REASON WHY I LOVE HIS DESIGN!! BIG FLOWY HAIR!!
2: It seems kinda like it was made overly kid friendly. from what I got from the trailer there were no even kinda-bloody scenes.
3: Nimona looks weird. It might be the fact she has fangs or her hair isn't just bangs and a thin layer of hair for the rest. she's just not right.
4: Ballister seems off. blackheart is awesome but the movie version :[[[
5: NO MENTION OF THE INSTITUTION IN THE TRAILER!? THE BIGGEST PLOT POINT??
6: The futuristic elements are just a bit too exaggerated and I don't like it. Like, it was mostly the institution that had the cool stuff.
7: Blackheart and Ambrosius should NOT be openly dating. Their complicated relationship was amazing and I was sure they were gay for each other but it was really left to interpretation!!
8: The movie seems so widespread that if I drew the comic version of the characters ppl would call Ambrosius a self insert because it doesn't look like the movie version at all :/
9: I hate movie adaptations of books because they NEVER GET ANYTHING RIGHT!! It's like if the first warriors arc was made into a movie and they changed it so that silverstream didn't die and joined thunderclan. I get why some things have to be changed, like a scene being far too difficult to draw or a character having a very complex design and it gets simplified, but not major plot points..
