wingman
I really love these characters and I hope you all can feel the work I put into their characters and stories. Sometimes it's hard to share art b/c at times it feels like it's not good enough, but I still just want to do it in the end.

aussie nicknames are an odd thing. quick workshop/explanation i'm leaving untagged. assuming you have seen my post about aussie nicknames for the heisters.
for ones like dazza or hozza or jozza or whatever, take the first syllable and just put -zza on the end.
for names like jacket it's okay to keep the ending consonant of the first syllable (jacca is like macca's after all) but the l, x and y in the first three names mentioned are too hard for that. try saying hoxxa. it's way harder.
any -ie ending (e.g. clover's possible cozzie) is ok but can be too cute or infantilising in some situations so it's a little harder to use. they tend to be for feminine names. i know a male walshie irl tho so this is just hard.
-o is -ie but easier.
some names can take the first syllable then stick an s on the end. imagine jules for julia/julian. hence jacks and socks (lmao). you can take it one step further and stick an ending on it, like i did for jacksie.
dragan's is because dagga is easier to say than dragga. dropping the r was just easy here. i think this applies to r's and l's in syllables if they come after a consonant?
the nickname can be applied to last names or last syllables of names as well. kozza can be from the -kol of sokol or his last name kozak.
blue is a funny outlier and is the only colour we use regularly for nicknames. kinda funny how houston could be a hozza but hoxton already took it. would love to hear him called houey.
the point of the aussie nickname is not to be a diminutive, but more to be a friendly thing. the aussie nickname denotes an equal (and one you like). but the unique idea of aussie respect has been written about by more knowledgeable people than me! i hope that anyone who writes for sydney uses this idea even if she doesn't in canon 😭
Tired
Me, in the morning: Sleeep!
Me, at mid morning: I’m tired
Me, at lunchtime: Still tired
Me, in the afternoon: Completely exhausted
Me, in the evening: That’s it I’m dead
Me, at bedtime: Weird, I don’t feel at all tired
Me, online, at 1.43 am, SpongeBob voice: I’m ready, I’m ready, I’m ready
alright nobody go anywhere, i’ve decided i’m gonna draw a cute blue spade boi to start this year/decade off right.
