Jumping off that anon! Fiction is a good place to explore the fucked up parts of people. Cause you can have someone do awful things but whos still likeable as a character but them as a person and the actions they take are still horrid and inexcusable. Shit like thatâs fun to explore cause no one actually gets hurt and the person doing the harm is undoubtedly in the wrong for doing harm. IDK ITS COOL. As long as the person hurting others is framed as âthis thing theyâre doing is fuckedâ then itâs chill, if the author is just having someone do terrible shit but frame it as a joke or something, then itâs kinda weird. BUT YEAH
yes! its all about the intent and context. when you are consuming fiction that is fucked up you have to consider "is the author glorifying these fucked up things or is the author bringing awareness to these fucked up things?"

In the secret of God's tabernacle no enemy can find us, and no troubles can reach us. The pride of man and the strife of tongues find no entrance into the pavilion of God. The secret of his presence is a more secure refuge than a thousand Gibraltars. I do not mean that no trials come. They may come in abundance, but they cannot penetrate into the sanctuary of the soul, and we may dwell in perfect peace even in the midst of life fiercest storms.
