Part 2 End
So that was the 3rd chapter of Unsounded. I still have no idea what Unsounded means in the context of the comic, but we may find out later.
Overall, it’s pretty good. It’s sometimes hard to really understand what they are saying, because they have this shakesperian way of phrasing shit. Like you know when you read something in your language but you are so put off by how they are talking that it sounds so foreign? Yeah I sometimes get that reading this. But it does feel very natural to the characters and this world, and the insults/descriptions that Duane gives is very colorful.
We also got a lot over very well paced world building in multiple areas in a short period of time. Technology, politics, the shitty eastern thieves guild, slavers, religion. It had to take some time to actually put that all together.
The slavers are the worst. And I’m pretty sure they are running with organ harvesting cultists. Aldish is a county of white haired people with Percy Whitestone level of edge and backstory. We have wars and new wars and Duane is a legit zombie that can actually eat people holy shit. Sette just doesn’t want to get abandoned so she needs to prove herslef and this is apparently the only way. If her cousin is tied up with the slavers then we are so fucked.
You sure the snakes are a metaphor? Because me thinks that the snakes might me more legit than you would realize.
And then Thor stops drinking and the rain clears up, instantly ruining your day.
Plot twist: she really is human. It’s just that humans have tails and super noses in this world
The more she talks about family matters, the more I wish we don’t deal with the slavers and instead focus on her father.
