no.16 magnum opus pt2
HELP!
I was working on my research for my magnum opus editorial piece and I was debating whether or not to include a paragraph or two about asian-male standards. My first draft which I posted here, was more focused on the asian-female perspective, but I was thinking of broadening my topic.
Let me know what you think! -kn

no. 12 mystery guest
Hello! I’ve been meaning to interview one of my friends and fellow authors ever since I’ve been dabbling a little bit into non-fiction writing. Well guess what? I had the honour of speaking to someone I look up to and I will be posting the interview within the next couple of days.
Can you guess who the mystery guest is? (feel free to take a stab at it)
hint: she is known for her fantasy writing and kind soul
I hope you guys are looking forward to it as I am so excited to share it with you all! -kn
no.8 poetry challenge
In my writer’s craft class, we had a poetry challenge where we would be split up into groups and write a certain type of poem in 11 minutes. My group had so much fun writing under a time limit because our skills were really put to the test. I really enjoyed writing the haikus, limericks and quintains so I might experiment more with those! -kn :)
My favourites:
limerick
when i’m down, you brighten my mood
you’re there when all else is crude
i’ll love you forever
i’ll forget you never
my dearest, my beloved, food
haiku
sweet and tasty cake
golden brown, icing on top
so much fun to bake
no.10 ode
Lately I’ve been enjoying iced green tea lattes with soy milk and I love it so much that I decided to write an ode to matcha!
What’s your favourite drink? :) -kn
to: matcha
By Kristine Clarin
My new addiction, matcha green tea
That I underestimated for so long
Sets my taste buds free.
With this drink, I can never go wrong.
The subtle notes of bitter and sweet makes it unique
And the muted green colour it becomes,
Makes me smile when my day is bleak
A rate? I would give two thumbs
Matcha green tea, the new light of my life.
If you were a person, I would make you my wife.
no.7 web comics
@fayecompositions just made a post about their love for graphic novels and it inspired me to do the same!
Growing up I was surrounded by graphic novels of all sorts, ranging from the classic superheroes like Batman, and (the love of my life) The Flash, to the more foreign genres of japanese comics like Naruto.
Lately, having a hard copy of these novels have been difficult and new stories have yet to grab my attention. This however lead me to discovering web-comics by independent artists! They’re easily accessible since they’re online and a great way to support upcoming comic artists.
Here are some of my favourite series:
+ Lackadaisy
+ Cucumber Quest
+ Check, Please!
*if you have any questions about any of the series listed above, don’t hesitate to ask. If anything, I’m always looking for an opportunity to share my love for them :)
Feel free to share some of your favourites and send them my way! I’m always open to new reads! -kn
