“Really, I think we’re approaching the point of redundancy.” Nina frowns from her position on her brand new sofa, heeled feet propped against the ottoman, fingers pinching the bridge of her nose. “These wards are surely going to cancel each other out eventually, and I have quite headache brewing, so I think I’m finished with that.” As if enchanting her apartment with protective spells wasn’t enough, Noah is working on bolstering the locks on the door, so Nina stands and crosses the room to observe. Once he’s finished, the younger Ismail raises an eyebrow. “Does this give you more peace of mind, then? The heavy padlock doesn’t do much for my decor, but I’ll allow it.” The truth of the matter is that this reassures her as much as it does her brother, headaches be damned. But there’s something worth telling him about -- something she saw, something that still hasn’t come to fruition. Perhaps it had been a figment of her imagination rather than a true vision. Her gut says otherwise. Still, Nina bides her time, sighing and tracing her fingers over the screen of her new security system. “Suppose this means you can stop sending patrol cars by my house now.” Her gaze turns to her brother, gauging his reaction. “Oh, you couldn’t possibly think I hadn’t noticed, Noor. They’re practically on the hour. It’s not worthwhile, I do not need surveillance. Surely police resoruces can go towards something more worthwhile.”
