Introducing the Ramsack Kids
I’ve been holding on to this for a hot minute and I’m very excited for y’all to finally meet the Ramsack Kids! Here we go! Order is from Oldest to Youngest...
Birthday/Sign: February 9th/Aquarius
Likes: Writing, the smell of old books, dogs & cats, pancakes.
Dislikes: Classical music, doing the dishes, salads
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Double Major in Journalism and Business, Minor in Economics - New York University
Background: Like his mother, Noah loved reading and writing from a young age. From the moment he could hold a pencil, he was writing stories and sharing them with anyone who would listen. That passion only grew as he grew up and he even followed his mother’s footsteps of becoming editor of his high school newspaper.
Noah decided to turn his passion into a career and majored in Communications and Media Studies at NYU; he also ran the school newspaper, as the youngest editor in the school’s history, landing the job as a Freshman. His skills as a writer and newspaper editor caught the attention of several professional newspapers including the New York Times. After several interviews, Noah graduated from NYU with an entry level position waiting for him at the Times.
He quickly worked his way up in the ranks of the newspaper, winning a Hillman Prize for an editorial he wrote on the lasting damage of gentrification and what that damage does to neighborhoods, particularly low-income ones. He currently works as a Freelance Writer.
Birthday/Sign: September 30th/Libra
Likes: Anything colorful, expensive coffee, a good jacket, waffles
Dislikes: Country music, snakes, corporate mandated fun
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Studies - Boston University; Certified Interior Designer
Background: Where Noah loved to write, Evie loved to draw. Her Christmas wish lists were constantly full of requests for fancy pencils, charcoals, chalks, drawing pads, etc. She started off drawing people, then switched over to landscapes as she got older.
She fell in love with interior design at thirteen when she redesigned her bedroom from top to bottom. In a single sitting, she had sketched out her entire room, then drew exactly where she wanted everything to be, from the bed to the curtains to the paintings on the wall. Ethan and Nat didn’t even question it; they just went along with what she said would work, trusting her judgement.
She pursued Architecture at BU, getting certified as an Interior Designer right after graduation then joined a local design company that dedicated itself to maintaining Boston’s historical charm. After four short years at this company, Evie left to start her own company called Ramsey Interiors. It’s now one of the most prominent design companies in all of Boston.
Birthday/Sign: May 25th/Gemini
Likes: A good cup of tea, baking shows, running, french toast
Dislikes: Spiders, the word “moist,” chocolate
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Double Major in Biology and Psychology - Johns Hopkins University; Medical Degree in Internal Medicine/Cardiology - Stanford University
Background: The only one of the Ramsey children to follow in their parents’ footsteps, Lydia decided to pursue medicine with the goal to help people the same way her parents do. Medical dramas were her favorite thing to watch growing up, though now she knows how infuriatingly inaccurate they can be.
She attended her father’s Alma Mater for her Undergrad term but moved as far from home as she could when completing her medical degree. She loves her parents and admires the work they’ve accomplished but she wanted to be able to make a name for herself in the medical field and the only way to do that was to move out of Boston.
It took a few months for her classmates and professors to stop associating her name with her parents but she eventually made an impression on everyone with her own brilliance and medical prowess; eventually, Lydia Ramsey became a household name. She graduated at the top of her class. She now works at UCLA Medical Center and is currently working with the Board to build a Diagnostics Team of her own.
