Ruthless Intentions || Mirabelle & Noah
From meetings, to conference calls, to site visits, and visiting the Strix HQ, Mirabelle was beyond exhausted from her busy work day, balancing both lives. However, instead of heading home straight away, she decided to hit up her usual spot and treat herself to a well deserved drink...Or drinks—wherever her heart takes her at this point. It was days like this where alone time was much needed. A break from everyone and everything gave her time to clear her mind, as well as recharge from all the social interactions that drained her throughout the day. Not that she was complaining, this was something she knew when she decided to go down this path, and so far, she had to hand it to herself, not once did she crack under pressure in all of her 31 years of living.
Downing her drink, Mirabelle raised a hand to signal the bartender over and ordered another one, before sliding the empty glass back in their direction. Clasping her hands together, she rested them on the counter top, before her attention diverted throughout the bar. Some eyes were on her because for the past half hour, she’s been having patrons offer or sending her drinks, but without any hesitation, she’d instantly decline. Mirabelle was irritated and annoyed, she wanted a break after all, but she remained unfazed, despite the unnecessary and rude comments directed her way. It wasn’t her fault their ego’s were so big and that many of them were childish when it came to rejection. So far, no one’s anger got the best of them and offered to physically do anything to her, which was what she was anticipating the most as she was in need of a human punching bag. However, the night was still young and she was certain later down the line, someone would get physical with her—which she’d make sure they’d later on regret.
Once the bartender arrived with her drink, Mirabelle took a sip of it before her eyes wandered to a presence beside her. “If you’re here to buy me a drink, then get in line. I have a queue of refusals I have to get through.” she joked while her red lips widened into a smirk. Noticing her purse on the vacant seat next to her, she had a feeling however that due to how busy and crowded the bar was getting that she was going to have to give it up sooner than later. “—But if you’re here for the seat, then it’s going to cost you.” No, she didn’t own the place, but the owner was a family friend and allowed her to do her own thing when she was there. Besides, it was about time she had her fair share of fun and the man before her seemed like the perfect candidate to mess around with.
