What is actually appointed as a religious offering focusing on blessings to peace & love, becomes a tasty family tradition for us as well 🙂. My wife cooks "ashure" in every year, as appointed in the very first month of Islamic Moon Calendar 🌙. It is actually a delicious pudding to celebrate the new year of Muslims and hope to be well, healthy, successful & wealthy for the rest of the year. Traditionally it is said to have at least seven ingredients. But my wife's has more. We have here wheat, rice, beans, chick peas, sugar, dried fruits, nuts, lots of herbs, lemon peel, sesame seeds, pomegranate kernels, cinnamon, lentils, etc... And it does not have anything from animal products. According to the religious story, this is what Noah had to make and eat during his long journey in his ship with all animals. It is made in large quantities to commemorate the Noah's ark landing and is distributed to friends, relatives, neighbors, colleagues, classmates, among others, without regard to the recipient's religion or belief system as an offering of peace ✌️ and love ❤️.
