300: Rise of an Empire (2014) - 8/10 - The Persian "God-King" Xerxes swears he will bring his wrath on General Themistokles from Athens. In this sequel, Athens proves to be a very powerful adversary. After learning of Leonidas sacrifice, Athens and all Greece unites to fight and bring down the Persian Army. I was waiting more marching and more clashing between armies but I was not dissapointed when I started to see Naval war and what strategies Themistokles brought to the table. 300: Rise of an Empire (2014) Dir.: Noam Murro Los 300 de Leonidas han caido y ahora los Persas avanzan hacia Grecia para gobernarlos. Alli un general buscara el apoyo de todos los griegos para hacer frente a esta amenaza comandadas por una feroz guerrera. Una secuela que funciona a ratos como precuela y continuacion directa de la anterior. Con excesivos efectos visuales y sin la grandeza epica de la original, la pelicula sigue adelante mas que nada por la presencia escenica de Eva Green en un pedazo de personaje. This shoot was incredible fun, the combination of James Earl Jones and Malcolm McDowell was just fantastic. Not only did I get to hear the voice of Darth Vader say things like "Totes McGotes" and "OH MY GARRRRRB"     but their chemistry on screen was  fantastic and it was inspiring to see such performers in action. True artists and ultimate gentlemen.

while many films lose steam this film loses track and even if it is an audiovisual spectacle the prequel, sequel and spinoff seem to be more worried checking things off a list than digging deeper or going further into the complex universe they have already created.
