Never, and I mean never, send an email when you are angry. Yesterday someone questioned my ability to do the most simple task at work and I was able to respond (after several edits) politely. Their response to my email pushed me over the edge. Instead of replying out of anger, I called a trusted friend to vent. This allowed me the chance to talk myself out of continuing the email conversation and not replying. Less than an hour later my direct boss and an indirect boss both replied to the person making it quite clear that I did exactly as I should have. Lesson #1. I take my organizational skills personally. Lesson #2. Do not, under any circumstances, send an email when you are angry. Lesson #3. People surprise you every day, let them have that chance.
