I was talking to my friend who's reading Words of Radiance for the first time and he says "I bet Shen is a traitor." And I don't ask this out loud but my brain goes "who the fuck is Shen and what is my friend picking up on?"

We're talking on Discord so in the background I'm looking up trying to figure out what he's talking about before I ask and then I realize that it's Rlain. In that moment it didn't click in my mind that Shen was Rlain.

I'm glad I didn't just outright ask because it would be quite suspicious that I don't remember this character's name. He's kind of hard to forget XD Happy that he's picking up that Rlain is a spy, my friend is quite clever!

I'm listening to this podcast about mistborn and the hosts are reading it for the first time and it's making me so sad. They're talking about the "there's always another secret line" and they point out how it reflects both Kelsier and Vin's character. Vin sees it as more people are always hiding things from her and that relates to betrayal. But Kelsier sees it much more as there's always secrets for him to discover.

And I'm...I'm going to cry because it feels like Kelsier is going down the road of seeing that line much more like how Vin sees it in book 1.
