The fun thing about Brandon Sanderson's magic systems is that, like ttrpg players, his characters are constantly trying to exploit the system in novel and insane ways.

What do I have to roll to get around the connection check on these metal minds?

I want to make a bond with the spirit without making any oaths. Just, like, as friends.

What if I fed the magic worms to a different kind of bird?

I'm going to use these deadly, explosive spores to make a gun, which is also deadly and explosive, so it shouldn't be that hard.

I'd like to put even more points into my rock stacking modifier. I want even a crit fail to count as a nat 106.

I understand why i’ve seen people posting that they are worried about the stormlight archive apple tv adaptation whitewashing what is canonically a 99% asian cast. but also Henry Cavill litterally approached Brandon Sanderson and outright asked to be Kaladin. And Brandon said no, you’re white and old. like the concern is very very real but it seems Brandon has a lot of creative control so hopefully he pulls through.

my true concern is the inevitable, unavoidable fact that NONE of them will look like how they look in my head. They could cast an actor for Dalinar who doesn’t even have big naturals. What then. What’s even the point. God.
