And @nobleassassin flies back into my life with pain and feels.
@nobleassassin liked for a starter.
❛ I was hoping to see you relax tonight; I should have known better. You always find SOMETHING to work yourself up over. ❜ As if she had any room to talk.

Do you know where your heart is? Do you think you can find it? Or did you trade it for something Somewhere better just to have it?
Do you know where your love is? Do you think that you lost it? You felt it so strong, but Nothing's turned out how you wanted
Well, bless my soul You're a lonely soul Cause you won't let go Of anything you hold
Well, all I need Is the air I breathe And a place to rest My head
I’ve got the same deep wounds as you, My love can double as a weapon too Say that you trust it and I’ll set it free, Turn it back on me, Turn it back on me We trade our secrets when it’s safe, Our ammunition when the fever breaks Show me the side no one else sees, Turn it back on me, Turn it back on me I am exposed, I am undone, You tear the walls down one by one, We tried to run, we tried to hide in fear of losing ourselves, We tried to keep it all inside so we don’t hurt someone else, When all the demons come alive I’ll still be under your spell, This could be heaven or hell, This could be heaven or hell In you I found my only faith, I lost my halo to your renegade This love could bring me to my knees, Turn it back on me, Turn it back on me I am exposed, I am undone, Come tear my walls down one by one

( @nobleassassin ) Sometimes Elijah didn't sleep. Sometimes, even when she was curled against him- alive, safe- she felt him tense and unresting. He didn't leave the bed, rarely did he leave her when she was doing something so vulnerable as sleeping. And she loved him for it because he kept the nightmares at bay. But he didn't sleep, his mind working so hard she could have probably heard him sleeping had she not been asleep. His hand would find hers, wrapping his fingers around her much more delicate ones, fingers that had wrapped around his heart once. And his own fingertips traced each inch of her hand, running over the ring she still wore. His ring. Keeping her alive, keeping her safe. And after a long time he twined their finger together and squeeze lightly. And that would almost immediately be followed by a soft, "Elijah." Just the barest breath of his name, her eyelashes fluttering against his chest as she almost woke. "M'okay," she murmured. "S'okay." And then her own fingers curled over his, tightened and squeezed gently, pulled their joined hands closer until her lips brushed his fingers. "M'here."

The council departed chambers, each to their own corners. Faces mostly clear of emotion, though certainly emotion had come into the day’s deliberations.
No matter their sayings and their rules and their beliefs, no Jedi was truly capable of voiding all their emotions. Peace was the ideal, yes, striven for, reached for, dreamed of. But not always achieved.
Aya lifted the hood of her cloak, wishing to hide what she was sure was a dour expression and one she found she could not dispel entirely. It would not do for Jedi or or their padawans- and some always lingered near the chambers- to see the council members leaving in foul moods. There was enough worry to go around.
She detoured from the direction of her rooms, following a familiar path to an often unused garden. It was warm there, a wet heat, humid, the kind she’d known as a child. The fauna was lush and dark green and blue and purple. It seemed to hum along with the rushing water that divided it. The air was thick with the smell of earth, just on the edge of sulfurous. The air of her home planet had an even stronger scent.
No. Not many enjoyed this place, but she did. And there was one other, one she expected would find her there any moment.
