Unpopular Opinions meme

I was tagged by the lovely constancecream! These unpopular opinions can be about anything. I just happened to chose all Sherlock.

1. I have to start with agreeing with one of your opinions. I would also be disappointed if the special was a Victorian AU. I'm sure it would be charming, but it isn't what I have been waiting 2 years for.

2. I believe Mary's apology after shooting Sherlock had genuine emotional backing.

3. I no longer want Mary Moran. I am much more interested in a nuanced character, than strong ties to Moriarty.

4. If they are going to bring in an other brother, I would rather have a childhood flashback than an other brother the age of actors like Ben Whishaw and Tom Hiddleston.

5. I'm not convinced that Arthur Conan Doyle intended Sherlock to be homosexual.

The last movie I watched in the cinema: I just got back from watching Mockingjay Part 1. I'm a bit shell-shocked, but they did a pretty good job considering the source material.

1 & 10

1. Create the strangest Sherlock AU you can think of.

I am going to go stream of consciousness style on this one. In my alternate universe, Sherlock is a dolphin because dolphins could be smarter than humans. John is also a dolphin because he has a tough skin, but can also be surprisingly playful. Moriarty is a mantis shrimp because the mantis shrimp is rainbow colored and feisty like no other. (This isn't strange enough. I need to step up my game.) Dolphinlock lives in an underwater recreation of London on the planet 221Bee. 221Bee is a mostly water planet, but the small section of land is inhabited almost entirely by honeybees and flowers. Dolphinlock often surfaces to observe the behaviors of the bees and conduct scientific experiments. Mantisarty built himself a jet propulsion system because he has an unhealthy obsession with dolphins and is unwilling to be a bottom dweller. DolphinJohn fought in the long war against the orcas, and returned to London with many teeth scratches along his body. Dolphinlock had a habit of nuzzling John's scars when they were playing. Their sleek bodies jumped and dove twisting out of the water and around each other. (I am going to stop this before it gets away from me. Who am I kidding... it's already gone.)

10.  Write a ficlet about Tom and the meat dagger

Tom was annoyed that his meat dagger explanation had embarrassed Molly. Their relationship had been feeling rockier and rockier over the last few weeks. Molly was finding an increasing number of Tom's attributes aggravating, and she felt the need to tell him about all of those thoughts that passed through her head. Tom was not blissfully happy himself. Molly always insisted that he wear the scarf to bed, and he didn't understand why. The meat dagger was just another straw in his hay pile of complaints. Tom decided that he would show Molly proving her wrong and showing his prowess at the same time. Tom built his meat dagger with care hand-crafting each piece out of the finest meat. When he was finished, he brandished his meat dagger about like a swashbuckling pirate. That night, Tom dressed in all black and crept into Molly's apartment. He threatened to stab Mollie with his meat dagger. She calmly stood up, and broke his meat dagger with the clench of one fist. Needless to say, that was the end of that relationship.

3. My current favorite theory is that Mary works for Moriarty and is the equivalent of the Sebastian Moran character. I think the first place I saw this was probably Lsit's M theory (x), which is a really fun read and I could see a decent amount of it happening. It is hard to remember specific metas that I have enjoyed, but I always like the writing of intelligent people like wsswatson and Mid0nz. My own thought that I like is that Sherlock told John that they would have to lie to keep the baby safe in Leinster Gardens before Mary arrived, because I just can't get behind the surgery argument. I really do like Mary. I just prefer her leaving her morally gray bubble and becoming more villainous.

20. I love fan videos! Here is the fan video with the music that I think best fits the TV show: (x) I will always come back to this Johnlock related video because putting the emphasis on unspoken words slays me. The ending is so brutal, but I love it: (x) This one is a relatively unnoticed one, but I love pairing the song I Need a Doctor with Sherlock clips: (x) I bet most of you have seen this one, but I find myself returning to it if I need to cry. The editing is really masterful. Say Something: (x) and of course her other video with the editing to make the wedding into a johnlock wedding: (x) I had to included this crack video just for the first clip about the hedgehog bahahaha: (x) This Classical Guitar Cover is just so beautiful and a tiny bit sexy hella sexy: (x) And the last video is Oklahomo because Oklahomo: (x)

45. Oh goodness. Picking just one scene from the entire show is hard. Why did I do this to myself? I think I honestly have to go with the scene in ASiB when John says, "I always hear "punch me in the face" when you're speaking, but it's usually subtext." One because it is hilarious and I died laughing the first time I saw it. Two because it acknowledges subtext, and subtext is one of the most fun part of the Sherlock fandom. Three because the interaction between Sherlock and John in this scene is on point.

Do you have a passion for robots or were you just in that sort of a mood when you chose your URL?

I do love robots, but my url is actually a play on my surname, Bottko. No one seems to know how to pronounce it, so I always say "Bottko. Kinda like 'Robot Company' Bot Co. Bottko!" Then they remember me forever cause I'm the weirdo that started talking about robots.
