At last month's house dinner I made everyone play the Star Trek trivia game (nearly unplayable), so at tonight's house dinner my friend made everyone play Backstreet Boys: Around The World (playable, but at what cost)

Memories feature showed me this old art I drew 9 years ago when my household was snowed in and we spent a whole day playing an extremely competitive game of Red Dragon Inn: Hybrid Decks Version. (As you can see, everyone was mad at Gogerki.)
Sorry if this is too personal, but you have a roommate and a spouse right? Did you get married while all living together? How did it change the dynamic? And did the % of the bills change at all? Just curious cuz I wanna move out soon and I've never been in a roomie situation before
Yeah, I do, and yeah, we did! Actually, I had two roommates when @adoubtifitbeus moved in with us (and they were both attendants at our wedding). If I could go back in time I'd be a lot more upfront with my roommates, though, because they were secretly under the impression that I would eventually ask them to move out, and it didn't help that my parents were very openly under that impression as well.
Nothing could have been further from the truth: my roommates (both of them, as well as the third that lived with us for a few months) are my chosen family, and are just as important to me as my partner. In a lot of respects, I consider @huduvudu my life partner, and I really can't imagine my life without them in it. Unfortunately my other family members still don't get that, but I'm firm in my belief that chosen family is Real Family.
Though @captainsjm and @pokebirdtummy moved out not too long before they got married to each other, the five of us have been talking about finding a big farmhouse or (ideally) a property with enough room for two little houses on it so we can all live together again someday. Though their house is close enough for us to walk to, I miss seeing them all the time. It can also save a lot on expenses when you split the bills, and if you can communicate effectively about chores you can help one another with housework that is difficult to do alone.
