she shook her head as she adjusted her position on her sister’s bed, letting her leg dangle over the side. “no, you don’t. i promise you don’t.” prim stroked katniss’ hair to try and comfort her. “do you want to talk more about it or do you think you can go back to sleep?” prim was willing to go downstairs and get her anything she needed or even stay in her room all night.

     normally  ,  the  crowned  princess  didn’t  pay  much  mind  to  people  who  were  in  need  of  assistance  ,  as  they  were  almost  always  out  in  public  and  anybody  else  but  her  could  help  them  .  this  ,  however  ,  was  different  ,  seeing  as  she  and  this  mystery  girl  are  the  only  ones  around  ,  and  she  would  feel  really  bad  for  leaving  her  alone  .  besides  ,  her  father  and  mother  would  most  likely  chew  her  out  for  not  aiding  her  ,  and  melody  certainly  didn’t  want  that  .      swimming  over  to  the  girl  ,  she  soon  takes  notice  of  the  net  that  entangles  her  .  in  no  time  ,  melody  has  it  undone  and  is  pulling  her  to  safety  .  “  well  ,  this  is  an  awkward  time  for  an  introduction  ,  but  i’m  melody  .  so  ,  ”  the  ravenette  begins  inspecting  the  other  for  wounds  ,  “  how’d  you  get  all  the  way  here  ?  did  you  get  stranded  ?  did  you  travel  here  and  happened  to  accidentally  get  swept  away  by  a  riptide  ?  ”

     “  huh  ?  ”  the  boy  looks  up  from  his  book  .  hiro  hamada  ,  actually  reading  something  other  than  science  textbooks  and  superhero  comics  ?  a  highly  unusual  sight  ,  but  ,  hey  .  in  his  defense  ,  whoever  wrote  this  was  a  really  good  author  .  plus  ,  it  was  the  first  thing  that  had  caught  his  eye  when  he’d  wandered  into  the  book  shop  near  where  he  now  sits  .  “  oh  ,  um  ...  no  ,  no  i’m  not  .  in  fact  ...  ”      knowing  that  it  could  be  potentially  dangerous  ,  hiro  doesn’t  seem  to  take  into  consideration  the  idea  of  ‘hiding  his  superhero  identity’  at  the  moment  .  meeting  someone  new  who  may  not  have  heard  of  big  hero  six  is  way  too  exciting  not  to  brag  a  bit  about  .  “  have  you  heard  of  ‘big  hero  six’  ,  by  chance  ?  i’m  hiro  hamada  ,  one  of  the  team  members  .  outside  of  that  ,  i’m  pretty  much  just  a  regular  teenager  .  and  you  are  ?  ”

     “  oh  ,  no  ,  i’m  perfectly  fine  ,  ”  giving  a  smile  up  to  the  blonde  ,  belle  begins  to  gather  up  her  books  and  things  that  had  fallen  onto  the  floor  ,  “  are  you  alright  ,  though  ?  it  seemed  like  our  collision  may  have  had  a  bigger  impact  on  you  than  me  .  ”      the  brunette  brushes  a  strand  of  hair  from  her  face  when  she  gets  up  .  “  um  ,  i  guess  we  should  exchange  names  now  ,  right  ?  ”  a  giggle  slips  past  her  lips  and  the  bright  smile  stays  on  her  face  as  she  places  the  books  in  her  basket  and  extends  her  hand  out  .  “  i’m  belle  ,  and  you  happen  to  be  ?  ”

“technically, i didn’t exactly do anything to be born. i just showed up, really.” jimmy joked, even chuckling through his nose. but he turned serious for a second, turning around to face her. “but thanks, mom.” he was glad to be her son instead of someone else’s, hands down. “i’m glad i’m here too.”
