BABY WIPES
My husband was complaining about the never ending cost of baby wipes. Telling me that I needed to start couponing because it was costing us way to much to daiper our kid.
This upset me because with all of the DIY things that I do around the house it saves us enough to pay for the daipers, wipes, and then some. Just the thought of turning into a couponer makes me cringe. Going to store after store searching for sales on items that i have coupons for. Filling up a binder full of coupons that ill probably never use. If just sounds like a HUGE waste of time and gas to me.
SO, to make him shut up and stop trying to make me into a couponer I decided I was going to make some cloth wipes. I hated the idea of it to begin with but its really not that bad. I just put them in the laundry basket right after I use them and they get washed every day.
MATERIAL
I just used an old pair of pants and my daughters old pajamas, cut them into long triangles (about 5"x8") fold them in half and sew up to prevent fraying. (I sewed mine like you would a pillow cover and just sewed the top shut)
WIPE SOLUTION
fill a shallow bowl with water,
1 tbsp. of olive oil, and 1 tbsp of liquid soap
soak the wipes and put them in a container.
Its not as messy as i thought it would be. If i could convince my husband to let me get the materials for cloth diapers we would never have to worry about spending money on diapers again! (until I get pregnant again that is)
