they were at one of those long winded rich people christmas parties -- they were always filled with ‘how do you dos’ or something simple as ‘hello, goodbye’. they were boring and yet thea had been forced to go by oliver who insisted he hadn’t wanted to go alone. by some crazy coincidence the queens and waynes were assigned to the same table ( much to oliver’s discontent ). it was interesting -- thea played with her fork as they brought out her smoked salmon, ignoring the “polite” exchanges between bruce and oliver. but once she was finished eating and ‘baby it’s cold outside’ came on she couldn’t help but jump from her seat. she looked to oliver with pleading eyes before he shook his head -- the dick. she bit her bottom lip and nodded the disappointment evident in her eyes before turning towards dick garyson. she looked to him and intertwined her hands together before bringing them to her mouth.
