Kiome was first a bit surprised at his offer then her smile grew wide as she chuckled. "Let's run away together then~" With these words, they kept dancing while avoiding her right arm. "I must admit that it is rather satisfying to see her run in circle after me." She giggled again then thanked him when she saw her friend walking toward the garden to search outside.

“I know the feeling,” Noctis admits as he starts to comfortably lead you in the dance, almost the complete opposite of what he was like a few minutes ago. “It’s a pretty good feeling when you can avoid royal duties, even if it’s only for a few minutes…you get me, right?”

"Your company is a pleasure." Kiome shyly smiled at him. She tried to find something to discuss about so her embarrassment could fade away. "Apart from your royal duties, is there anything you enjoy doing ?" She inquired as they walked across the crowd of guests. "Not that royal duties are much fun." Her eyes wandered around, careful to not be found by her right arm. Now that she was thinking about it the king was also walking around alone. Oh well, at least she wasn't the only one to do that.

“Heh, you’re right about that one,” Noctis can’t help but let a small laugh loose at your comment on royal duties. It was one of the things he dreaded most in his royal life, and maybe it was your’s too? You were royalty like him, after all, so maybe he could relate to you more than anyone else.

“Well, I really like fishing whenever I have the time to do it,” he explains. “Which isn’t very often now that I’m king,” he can’t help but let out a sigh at this. “I won’t lie and say that I don’t miss having more time to myself. I used to take a lot of naps when I was younger too, but sometimes I still do when no one is around,” a grin tugs at his lips when he tells you this.

A woman opened the door to the balcony. A ball has been held to celebrate the return of the King Noctis Lucis Caelum. Being from a noble family, it is only natural that Kiome has been invited. She still prefered to have some alone time rather than partying all night long. However, she didn't know she would come across the King himself while taking a break from the party. "My apologies. I would not have expected to find you here, Your Majesty." The woman shyly bowed. "May I join you ?"

Not too fond with festivities, even when in his honor, himself, the king of Lucis had also decided to take a break, even if for a few minutes. Quietly, he made sure to traverse the halls outside the dining room, just in case someone (mainly Ignis) were to spot him. Once he spots a comfortable bench in a corner near a window, he decides to take a seat to gaze out at the setting sun, something he hasn’t seen in years.

When he suddenly hears a woman’s voice, he turns towards the source and is quick to notice how regal her attire is. Could she be royalty? Not wanting to be rude, Noctis scoots over some to make room. “Sure, I wouldn’t mind the company.”

"A few minutes of freedom." She nodded and let herself go with the flow, appreciating his initiative. Dancing might be a bit tiring yet it put her heart at peace. However at the end of the song, Kiome slowly stopped dancing. "Sorry, heels might be lovely but they can get inconvenient." She bashfully smiled, her feet slightly aching.

“Now that’s something we definitely can’t relate with each other on,” the prince laughs a little and begins to lead you over to an empty chair at one of the dining tables, which he pulls out before you sit. “I hope sitting down helps…So, uh, do you want something to drink? I know we had some earlier, but dancing can make you thirsty. I know that I am.”

Kiome chuckled when he called himself clumsy. I did not bothered her if he was, being royalty didn't mean being perfect. They easily danced to the music and each step showed their knowledge in that matter. With her heels, Kiome was slightly taller than Noctis, which made her smile. "I don't see anything wrong with your dancing, Your Majesty." As they kept whirling gracefully, she spotted her right-hand searching after her. Seemed like her free time won't be lasting for too long.

Noctis must have caught sight of the girl who seemed to be looking for someone, and he also must have deduced that she was looking for you based on the worried expression on her face, and the way she was dressed, because he starts to lead you along to the opposite side of the dance floor. “Do you mind ignoring your royal duties along with me?” he asks a little sheepishly, hoping you don’t mind.

"You're right, my compliments to your chefs." She looked at him as she speaked and noticed his wide smile, which only make her smile back. They remained silent for some long minutes, taking time to appreciate the tranquility of the moment. From where they were, they were able to lightly hear the music. Kiome stood up, putting her plates aside, slitghtly bowed and stretched out her hand to him. "Would you do me the honor of dancing with me ?"

The silence really was comforting for Noctis, and by the time he was finished with his food he was in an even better mood than he was before meeting Kiome. Using a napkin to wipe off whatever excess food thag may have lingered around his mouth and hands, he stands up and takes a small, gentlemanly bow before her.

“If you’d like to dance with a clumsy king like me, then I don’t see why not,” he holds an arm out to her, and once she takes it, he leads her over to the dancefloo where other couples are scattered about, dancing to the music that flows through the room.

"Of course. In fact I also prefer to take some some distance from crowded places." While her plate mostly consisted of vegetables, Kiome noticed his plate has no trace of any. She deduced that he may not like them and giggled at the thought. A grown-up man like him being picky like this sure was unusual yet cute in a way. They got back to the balcony and ate under the colored sky. "It feels nice to be able to eat with such a view. We are rather lucky, aren't we ?"

With a piece of juicy meat in his mouth, Noctis looks up at the sky above him and comes to realize that yes, it really was a nice view. Despite him being on this very balcony multiple times, this time felt different and it brought a smile to his face.

After swallowing his food, he looks back to Kiome and nods in agreement. “Yeah, I guess we are,” his smile is genuine as he speaks, amd his eyes squint slightly due to the smile pushing his cheeks up. “We’re even luckier to have delicious food,” he adds and takes yet another bite of the scumptious meat Ignis had prepared along with the chefs in the kitchen.

Her cheeks reddened at his words. Having someone complimenting her work always filled her with joy. Still she kept her composure. "Yes, it was. I thought of it when I received the invitation for tonight." Kiome carefully touched her gown's drapery and looked up at him. A light gasp slipped out of her lips. It wasn't the moment to feel inspired ! What to do ? She needed to eat too. "Your Majesty, could you remind me later of the word 'attire", please ? I'm afraid I may forget what I have in mind"

One of his eyebrows raised in curiousity. ‘What she has in mind?’ He wonders to himself, confused on what she could mean by that. Well, it really wasn’t his position to be nosy, so Noctis replies with a nod.

“Sure, I’ll keep that in mind,” he says and leans over to grab a plate to serve himself some food from the buffet table, with Kiome in tow.

He places a few items on his plate such as meat from various beasts as well as fish, and of course not a single vegetable could be found by the time he finished gathering the food.

“Would it be alright if we ate out meal on the balcony?” He questions her. “It’s farther away from people which, in my opinon, is better.”
