This piece is rather nostalgic to me and holds so much value to me. Besanii Nekomata was my first ever OC. In fact, she WAS me when I was younger Besanii was everything I wanted to be in a better light. Sure, I wrote her off as shy and introverted but that was how I was back then. Though she’s a lot braver than I’ll ever be and I love her for it. She went through A LOT of redraws and reworks to the point that I am satisfied with her design now and I am honestly so proud of how far I’ve come throughout the years I have been drawing. For those of you who know who Besanii was and how much she meant to me as a kid must also know that I still love her.
I even drew Noctis as well. Sure, Frey and I hardly ever talk anymore but he’s still one of my best friends. Quite frankly I miss Frey more than anything but we’re adults now. Life has changed for all of us that were a part of 42 and I wouldn’t change a thing. Well... except a few things... but that’s a part of the past. I decided to redraw her and rename her to Machiko Nekoma. I’ve grown too attached to the name Besa and made it my own and honestly, it’d get confusing for myself to call her Besanii anymore. So Machiko is back at DWMA and is ready to kick ass once again.
