🌙 3 AM Thoughts – Starcatcher Reflections
(Listening to Greta Van Fleet – Starcatcher)
Remember?
No phone.
No TV.
Just you and the music.
The times it sang your soul.
Cried your tears.
Soared through endless skies.
And you—
You rode that note, that melody,
like a horse with wings.
Dreamer girl.
Woman.
Not yet the crone.
Don’t let that number
dictate the ageless girl inside,
the ageless woman within.
This is the journey
of a hundred songs,
a million notes on wing—
soaring, dipping, landing
you here.
Right here.
Right now.
Dreamer girl.
Dreamer dreaming the dream.
Nocturnal Reflections
"The hours between 12 am and 6 am have a funny habit of making you feel like you're either on top of the world or under it," a quote often attributed to Beau Taplin, an Australian writer and poet. Rarely do words resonate so deeply with me, but seeing this at 12:30 am feels like a sign. Tonight, I’m happy to report that I happen to be on top of the world.
Interestingly, I often find myself feeling this way at this hour—this late, quiet hour of the night, the so-called witching hour. There’s something almost magical about it, a sacred stillness that wraps around me like a soft, familiar blanket. It’s my favorite time of existence, when the world surrenders to sleep, and the weight of the day finally lifts. No one to pull me back into the frenzy of daylight, no voices to interrupt the solitude.
I cherish these moments, where silence hums with possibility, and the dark sky feels infinite. The stars wink down like secrets meant only for me (even though I cannot see them from the big city). In these fleeting hours, I become weightless, untethered, free to dream while still awake. It’s as though the night itself is listening, a confidante to my quiet thoughts and whispered wishes. Here, I am both everything and nothing—at peace with the world and deeply within myself.
