The ex-accountant was just BARELY conscious when Grey came in. Only just catching his figure out of the corner of his eye, but making no move to hide himself away or tell him to leave. Only because he couldn’t fin- d his voice nor did he have any energy left in him to move.
Thankfully the skirmish they had been in only left Vaug- hn with no bullet wounds, but he had gotten nicked by a few blades and the bandits were never necessarily FORGIVING when it came to hand to hand combat. Luckily Grey had been there or he would have been in far worse shape, but even now he was on the brink of consciousness and falling asleep in a bathtub definitely probably wouldn’t end that well.
But before he could continue on with his bleary thought, he felt himself get pulled from the warm and bloody wat- er. Shivering went the cooler air hit him, but could only whine in protest as he was set on the floor.
“P-put…me back…I’m fine,” his voice came out slow an- d slurry and almost quieter than a whisper. But even in his words he had a feeling it would be best to get the un- treated wounds cared for. After being stuck in the tub he had been too weak to pull himself out, and probably leaving his injuries without treatment was not a good ide- a. But all he could do now was just whimper and occasionally flinch from Grey’s hands.
