Y/N couldn't believe the words that left her friends lips, sure she was drunk but that wasn't an excuse, she'd been drunk so many times before and it had never slipped from her lips, everyone had turned to look at y/n, she downed her drink.
"thanks alot, Meg" she sighed, scraping her chair back across the floor of the student union, stalking out of the packed room.
Y/N was making her way back to her dorm, she was so angry, no one apart from her closest friends knew about her entering her college life a virgin, she'd told her dorm-mates Meg and Izzy thinking she could trust them, now half of the student union knew and she was already unable to face Monday classes.

Neil was locking up the video store, it had been a day of hanging around with his friends and talking to the few customers who made it in, he was ready to head to the bar and sink a few beers, before heading home to a movie.
His phone buzzed in the pocket of his cargo pants as he headed for his car, pulling it out he flicked open the message.
'dude! that popular chick from first year y/n something?
VIRGIN!!'
He rolled his eyes to himself as he got into his car, they'd been out of college for a few years, he'd never met Y/N but friends of his were friends of hers so he was vaguely aware of her.
Neil couldn't believe that the virginity of people was still a highly discussed thing in college, he started his engine, not replying to the message as he pulled out onto the main road, his phone vibrating again on the passenger seat, at the red light he flicked open the message.
'Y/N VIRGIN! Perfect for you man!'

I'm ADORING bisexual Negan and seeing him as a bisexual in "arcadia" is just sooo nice to see, especially as a bisexual myself! I think the way you write him and incorporate bisexuality into his character is great! (also I like to think that Negan is CANONICALLY a bisexual in the show despite what the writers have put him through.) all in all, Arcadia is just an amazing series so far (idk how long you plan to continue but pleaseee don't stop just yet! it's amazing and I find this series "comforting" in a way, if that makes sense. ❤

Neil was running late, he had agreed to be at y/n's student house by 7pm, it was 7pm and he was only just leaving his apartment, he had been kept behind at the video store with a customer. He had sent her a message to let her know.
Y/N was alone in the house, Izzy and Meg had left as they were heads of the social commitee and needed to be present at the start. She hated being late, she hated waiting and here she was waiting for Neil to arrive.
Finally the bell rang, she grabbed her bag downing the last of the wine that Jared and Tim had arrived with. Pulling open the door she rose her eyebrow at Neil, letting him know she wasn't pleased with his lateness.
"Sorry, work was busy" he sighed as she locked up the door behind herself, dropping her keys into her bag she nodded following him down the path to his car.
"You know my brothers" she stated as he held the door open for her to slip into the passenger seat of his car.
Neil nodded, he knew this and he knew exactly what they'd say about this whole situation, he wasn't entirely comfortable with taking her to the social, she was attractive sure, beautiful in such a natural way, her smile was contagious when he could pull one from her, he had been in so many social situations with her, she definitely had always caught his eye on more than one occasion.
He would rather be taking on her on a date just them two, but he had agreed to this and he wasn't going to let her down, he was just hoping for a another date after this.
"Yeah I know, bet they wouldn't be thrilled about this huh?" he started the engine, pulling out of the drive heading for the College.
"They don't own me, they can pretend to be annoyed but they like you Neil" she shrugged, finally giving him a smile.

Y/N had sat in the car taking a deep breath, Neil had waited with her.
"Are you okay?" he asked turning in the drivers seat
She nodded "Just a few things have happened this week, and I'd really rather not be going into a room full of people who know things I'd rather keep private"
Neil didn't admit to knowing what she meant, she didn't need that news to make her feel worse. "It's fine, lets go in there and just have a good time?"
"You know don't you?" She asked eyes flicking up to meet his, he bit on his lip.
Slowly nodding "Jared told me, but look it's not a big deal, and I'm not expecting anything"
She sighed, shoving her phone in her bag, opening the car door "honestly Jared is such an asshole, meant to be my closest friend and here he is spreading private things about me" She was out of the car, pulling at the hem of her dress, Neil scrambled out after her.
"you probably are expecting something from me and if you are then you can just go home right now, I don't want to be some pity fuck"
Neil joined her by the passenger side of the car "I'm not expecting anything, I just wanted to be your date for tonight and possibly another date after this?"
She sighed, nodding at him "Fine, but I'm not a cheap date Neil and I don't want to be watching movies in the back of the video store"
Neil grinned, holding out his hand for her to take "That only happens on the third date" he joked
She rolled her eyes, taking his hand so they could finally make their appearance at the social.

Neil had rarely attended socials when he was in college, so this was a new experience for him, the main hall had been decorated within a inch of its life, the music was blaring from the stage and people were mingling everywhere with drinks in hand.
"There's Jared, I do not want to talk to him right now" she sighed, pulling Neil towards the drinks table.
Y/N was still holding his hand, as if she needed to know he was right there by her side. They grabbed a cup each heading for one of the vacant tables lining the room.
Izzy and Meg had spotted them rushing over to greet them both
"Nice to see you made one of these things Neil, even if you aren't a student anymore" Meg laughed finding herself hilarious.
"I had an offer I couldn't refuse" he quipped, she couldn't help the smile on her face.
"Oh I bet, an offer for the end of the evening" Meg nudged Izzy, who shot her a glare.
"Just ignore her Y/N, sometimes people have no manners" Izzy was always the one who tried to put out the fire between them both.
"Ladies and Neil" Jareds voice cut through the group, Y/N groaned not wanting to see him after Neils earlier revelation.
"Hot date you've got there Neil" Jared winked in Y/N's direction.
She had, had enough downing her drink she excused herself to the bathrooms, pushing into the empty space she let out a deep breath, slamming her way into a cubicle.
"So did you see Neil from the video store is here with Y/N?" the voices floated through the opening door, could she seriously not escape this?
"I bet he's only doing this so he can be the one who finally takes her virginity"
"Oh definitely, imagine coming to college a virgin"
The voices were cutting through her, she was usually so confident but right now she needed to get out of this building away from all the judgement.
She had text Neil to meet her outside the bathroom and let her know when he was there, it felt like a lifetime for his message to come through, she straightened out her outfit, washed up and met him outside.
"Can we get out of here?" she asked, he was leaning against the wall.
"Sure? everything ok?" He frowned, as she linked her arm through his, setting off for the car park.
"Too much gossip, I need to get away from it" she sighed as he held the door open for her to slip back into his car.
"Let's go get some food yeah?" Neil asked getting into the drivers side.
"I could demolish a shake" she smiled slightly.
Neil nodded "Jim's Diner it is" he confirmed, reversing out if his space and heading to the diner, letting Y/N sit in peace next to him as he hummed to the radio.

Y/N slipped into her seat in her first class of Monday, she'd made it from the dorms to class without anyone making any kind of comment about what happened at the weekend, she was hoping she'd get through the week without having to talk about it, then something else would happen to another student and she'd be forgotten.
"Morning y/n" Jared slid into the seat next to her.
He had been her lab partner in High School and had some how ended up on her English Lit course at the same College, they were close having spent most of their time together back home having the same friends and now having classes together meant she classed him as one of her best friends.
"Hey Jared" she smiled, pulling her laptop and notebook from her bag.
Jared leaned closer to her so he could whisper "heard what Meg done on Friday night"
She rolled her eyes, great so people were talking about it, she turned to Jared "it's no big deal" she shrugged hoping to play down how she really felt.
He nodded leaning back in his chair "yea, of course its cool, could probably hook you up with someone to help take care of it though"
It took all her strength to not push him off the chair he was occupying, she bit her lip "It's fine" she stated as their lecturer made his appearance at the front of the class.

Neil didn't open the shop until later on Mondays, so he had sometime to sort out admin in the office, music blaring from his portable speaker, he didn't expect to see anyone until at least midday.
The door to his office opened, Tim poked his head round before entering. Neil watched him as he sat down opposite.
"Tim, your shift isn't until two, why are you here at ten?" he quizzed
Tim shrugged "I have a proposition for you"
Neil groaned, Tim's plans never went the way they should and really he wasn't in the mood for some stupid idea. Tim was talking anyway before Neil could protest.
"I have a friend, he has a friend, y/n, you probably know her?" Tim didn't really pause for the answer so Neil nodded not bothering to speak.
"Well she wants a date, for this big college social happening and I just thought why not ask Neil to be that person? He'd be perfect for her" Tim finished, Neil rolled his eyes.
"Tim, I am not being set up with this girl, Jared text me Friday night telling me about her, I am not having a pity date with a girl who wants her virginity taken"
Tim laughed lightly "but thats the thing! she doesn't, she just wants a date and we owe her this because she literally helps us out all the time and I said we'd find someone, theres no taking of the virginity involved just a date to the social with a nice girl who wants a cute geeky boy on her arm"
Neil groaned once more, "fine but you and Jared owe me ok?"
Tim nodded getting out of his chair "Yes Boss, see you in four hours with food" he left the office before Neil could say a word.
