NODIB Translations
Hello, my darlings. It's been a mo'. I have a lot of questions in my inbox that are some variation of, "Can I translate NODIB to (insert language)?" And because there are so many of these that have built up during my absence, and it not being the first time I've answered this, I felt the need to address it in a text post.
I am beyond flattered by the implications of the questions, believe me. However, personally, I've never really been comfortable with the idea of having people translate my fic. I have had a real problem with having a lot of people try and take credit for NODIB. I'm in no way implying that those of you that have asked would do such a thing, because most of you are lovely little angels and I love you bunches. It's just that I have twenty different messages from people in my inbox right now asking to translate it to six different languages. If I were to just give an overall "Yes!" It would be a little chaotic. Things would get lost and misunderstood and misguided, and I just prefer it stay where it is - on my ao3 and on my tumblr.
I've had a lot of people attack me over this decision before in the past, but it's one that I stand by as of right now. I know that all your inquiries come from a good place, and that you're all sweet little gumdrops. I simply ask that you all respect my wishes.
