Hello Lovelies, sending you all Much Love and Good Vibes :).
I hate it when people go "oh I love gay people and I'm 100% good with them but my child will never be gay cause I won't let that happen" like ?????¿¿??? I just want to slap those people
It's amazing what four words can do, whispered in the right person's ear. 'Don't leave the TARDIS'. He knew his other self's plan, he could see it in his posture, in his expression, and hear it in his voice. He knew it, because he was thinking it, too.
In the end he lost his nerve before they could. He'd like to say he was thinking of Rose's choice in the matter...and he was! Just that, rather than worry she get a proper one, he worried she'd choose the other him and he'd be stranded in a parallel world without a TARDIS, Rose, or hope.
The idea is horrific.
Of course, when he convinced Rose not to step off the TARDIS, and instead wander deeper into the ship, his other self had no choice but to keep them both. Under normal circumstances, that might not be so easy...but with Donna in her state, no time could be spared for argument.
No time could be spared to save her. Wiping her mind wasn't 'saving' her, no matter how much he wanted to believe it was...and he couldn't stand by and let it happen with Donna pleading in front of him and screaming in his head.
Decking his other self hadn't won him any points. It's a wonder his other self didn't try to pitch him into a black hole when he woke up to find Donna's body and empty shell.
The Library isn't really 'saving' her, either...but it's what she wanted: to find Lee, to remember, and to help in her own way 'forever'. Even his other self accepted that belatedly.
That was a week ago.Today he's doing repairs and getting zapped by a temperamental console, while other-him and Rose work on lunch.
