Daniel's handshake is a bit distracted as his eyes scan the landscape but his greeting is warm and genuine. “I’ve always heard Greymont Bay is an amazing place to explore. I hope we’ll get some time to take in the sights together.”
Marcello is showing something to Trey and misses his call to the front so Maite, who is used to keeping track of many things at once, seizes the opportunity to warmly greet the bachelorette with a glowing smile and firm handshake.
“Hey man, you okay?” Noemi nudges Brandon.
He sucks in a wavering deep breath. “I’ve been so hopeful Nic is the one for me, I didn’t stop to think about all the competition. You’re all so intimidating!”
While Brandon has his existential crisis in the shade of one of the aspen trees, Owen takes Nic’s hand and stares a moment, seemingly lost for words.
“Hi?” she finally says.
“Sorry,” he shakes his head with a smile. “I was drawn to you from the beginning but being here in person with you…your smile is breathtaking.”
While introductions take place in the background, a small drama plays out at the edge of the property.
“What are you doing here,” Jaxson hisses at Ensley.
“I told you I planned on submitting my application. Why are you here?”
“Uh uh. Submitting your application just like you were going to college, like you were becoming the next Simnation Idol, like you were marrying into the royal family.”
“How dare you! I told you, my reputation was sabotaged and the prince wouldn’t even take my calls anymore. You know that’s a sore spot.”
“Uh huh.”
“You still didn’t answer my question. Why did you apply? You hate people, living ones anyway.”
-Uh, Jaxson. Your turn.-
Jaxson tosses his hands in the air and makes his way up front to say hello to Nic.
“Anything I should know about?” She looks over his shoulder and back at him.
“Um, hi. Jaxson.” He shoots a glare of daggers over his shoulder at the rude snickering. “I mean, I’m Jaxson. Pleasure to meet you.”
Nic doesn’t probe further, figuring maybe once the pressure of the first initial meeting fades she’ll learn more about whatever it has just transpired on the front lawn.
Matteo is the next in line. “I must confess; ever since I saw your bio, I’ve been fantasizing about you. Every fantasy begins with a candlelit dinner. In case you want to know more, I'd be happy for you to join me at the dinner and we can go from there.”
Nic’s eyes widen, surprised at the man’s boldeness. A small smirk creeps up the corner of one side of her lip. “You’ll have to earn that dinner and then we’ll see.”
As he steps aside, Noemi takes his place and greets Nic. “This place is incredible! We’re going to have so much fun here!”
“I look forward to it,” Nic grins, enthused by the blonde’s energy.
