I loved the recent episode, my baby Dom Neoy is learning and growing. The only thing that I’m frustrated about is Phayu. I would have loved to see more development with him so we would have a legit challenge. Thi isn’t conflicted at all about making a decision between the two so there aren’t real stakes to the Phayu/neoy conflict

I personally don't agree. I think the tiny bit of Phayu we got that allowed Noey to stake his claim was good enough. I don't enjoy watching jealousy. I find it tedious. Noey knows that Thi is his, and if Phayu tries to horn in, Noey puts a stop to it real fucking fast. If we see no more from Phayu, that would make me happy. But that's just my personal preference.

Noey physically punishing Thi

One of the things I really liked in ep 10 is the fact that the very next scene following Noey deciding to stay with Thi instead of going off to fight involved that bet with Phayu. Because that bet allowed him to focus on the control he had over Thi. In using time with him as a prize, Noey was demonstrating that Thi belonged to him, that he could choose where Thi went and what he did. It showcased the way their D/s relationship keeps Noey in check. He has a strong need for violence and control. Getting into fights with his gang gives him both of those things. But giving him a contest in which he used toy guns and had control over Thi gave him both of those things as well, and in a much safer and healthier way.

D/s Dynamics in Episode 10 of I Will Knock You-Thi's POV

This is the third week of collaborating with @lutawolf about the D/s dynamic between Noey and Thi, with her taking Noey's POV and me taking Thi's.

This week was far more subtle than I'm used to this show being. Noey was all softness towards Thi, without a single threat or intimidation of any kind, so it took me a couple of viewings. But the D/s dynamic was there, it was just calmer.

Thi is now used to obeying Noey. Before, Noey had to drag him everywhere and force him into obedience. Now, every time Noey tells Thi to do something, he does it. During the fair, Noey dictated everything they did, and Thi followed his lead without any argument. Even when Noey told Thi(told, not asked) that they would move in together once Noey graduated, though Thi let out that customary little shriek that he does every time Noey says something that shocks Thi, he added nothing else. Didn't argue in the slightest.

The bet with Phayu was particularly interesting. Thi wasn't upset at all about being used as a prize the way most people would be, especially considering the fact that he didn't want to go with Phayu. He did trust Noey to win, yet he wasn't entirely certain. The important part, though, is that he felt like Noey had the right to use him like that. It's an indication of how they both feel. Noey agreed to Phayu's bet without hesitation, because he knew that Thi would do as he was told, regardless of how Thi felt about it. And Thi was relieved to see Phayu miss one and Noey get all of them in, because he absolutely would have obeyed Noey(who has his own morality and wouldn't go back on his word), and gone with Phayu.

There was also an interesting feeling when Noey put the necklace on Thi. It had a "collaring" vibe to it. "Collaring" is when a Dom declares ownership of a sub. It can sometimes be the equivalent of a kink marriage. When Leo put the necklace on Fiat, the one that said "Leo's" on it, it also had that feel.

Essentially this whole episode was a demonstration of the fact that Thi has entirely accepted Noey's authority.

There are SO many things about this scene to love. First, the way you can just see Thi grow softer and softer the longer he gazes at Noey, thinking about all the things he loves about him. Second, the THINGS Thi loves about him! Everything that Noey has done to craft his image from the way he dresses and does his hair to the way he speaks(something that I also love, yay for learning Thai) enchant the hell out of Thi. One thing in romance stories that I don’t like is when you can never figure out exactly WHY the two people are in love. What do they like about each other? But with these two, the story lays it all out. In this moment, we see some of why Thi is so into Noey. The show wants us to understand what draws these two together.

I also love this part. Noey is trying to teach Thi how to defend himself, but then Thi gets lost in Noey’s eyes, so Noey goes Dom and shakes him out of it. But he can’t help the tiny smile that he gets after. He really enjoys how into him Thi is. Despite the fact that he’s still into Pam, he’s doing D/s with Thi, and, for most Doms, the adoration of a sub they vibe with is hella intoxicating.

What I love about this scene between them is that even though Noey is slightly mocking during it, he's still instinctively comforting Thi. He's a Dom with a frightened submissive clinging to him. The sadist in him can't help but be a little teasing, but he still has that protective instinct that Doms have towards subs, at least those they vibe with. It's an important turning point between them. Noey's feelings towards Thi inevitably soften, both because he assumes that Thi has feelings for him, and because protective Dom mode was activated in him. He's still a sadist and hasn't yet developed romantic feelings for Thi, but he no longer wants to bully him. Dominate him, yes. Bully, no. It can be a fine line and look the same externally if you're unfamiliar with that dynamic, but there's now care there, and Noey is much more cautious about the damage he inflicts upon Thi. It's not casual anymore. He genuinely cares about how much and what kind of harm he does to Thi now. And it all starts with this.

I love I Will Knock You. It's so amazing. I absolutely adore watching these two baby kinksters trying to navigate their first D/s relationship. Because that's exactly what this show is so far. It's what I wanted Don't Say No to be(love Leofiat though I do, they didn't go nearly as hard into kink as I wanted them to). I will admit to fear that Noey and Thi's D/s dynamic will soften too much for me once they fully enter romantic territory(which is exactly what happened with Leofiat). However, Noey is much more sadistic and Dominant than Leo, an indulgent Daddy Dom, ever was, and Thi is a very obedient, masochistic, and eager to please sub, not a brat. I think it would require completely changing their personalities to change that dynamic all that much, and I have reasonable faith that the show is better than that.
