Lessons Of Life And Love: Update/Preview

So, I’m still not done. These last two weeks have just kicked my ass as far as having any legitimate free time to write. It’s been horrible, but I’m almost there. I just don’t think I’m going to be able to finish tonight knowing how early I have to be at work tomorrow. That being said, I am shooting for an update either Tuesday or Wednesday as I work all day tomorrow. I’m taking my laptop with me to write in my free time, but it’s not going to be a lot. Anyway...I figured I’d at least give you guys the first couple of paragraphs of the next chapter to hold you over until then. Again, I’m so sorry I couldn’t get this out this weekend like I wanted to...I’m probably more frustrated with myself over it than anything, but I guess stuff just happens. Anyway...here you go.... “Yuuri are you all right?” Victor’s voice cut through Yuuri’s silent panic. He scrambled a bit, but Victor’s grip around him remained firm. “Easy. It’s okay, I’ve got you…though maybe we should get out of the river. Neither of us need to catch a cold.”

“Victor, why are you in the river?” Chris called out and Yuuri froze.

“My Yuuri ran into my arms so hard and we fell.” Victor laughed and Yuuri wanted to hide his face. He didn’t run into Victor’s arms. It was an accident…a tragic accident. He couldn’t believe he practically let himself get caught. His face burned with the shame so he couldn’t bring himself to look Victor in the eyes.

“Yuuri,” Victor’s voice went soft. “Please answer me. Are you hurt?”

“No…I’m fine.” Yuuri spoke a little too quickly, but if Victor noticed, he said nothing. Yuuri felt flustered so he added. “But maybe you should let me go so we can get up.”

“But if I let you go, how do I know you won’t run away?” Victor sounded genuinely worried, but Yuuri knew he wouldn’t run. Not now.

“You caught me fair and square. I have no reason to run or a place to run to.”He admitted a little quieter than normal. 

It hurt to say it, but Yuuri meant every word. Victor won, so Yuuri would admit defeat and let himself be claimed by the Alpha.Victor must have decided to trust him, because he allowed Yuuri to pull away to stand. To be fair, he moved to help the Alpha up from the water shivering at how he felt in the cold air.

I am in a week long training about the proper processing and disposal of scheduled/hazardous wastes. It’s to protect the environment. During the day (8:30am-5:00pm), I learn the theory. At night, I do the assignments. Then I play with kids, reply to electroplating queries for the factory, write an article (just finished tonight), prepare for a sermon for this Sunday, and prepare for an outreach in 3 weeks (with my lovely ministry partner @pianist.esthershinchuang). Tomorrow, I do it all over again, but without the article. Ironically, I will be busier after the training concludes. Bivocational ministry is not for the weak of heart. Trivocational is deadly.
