Support for Orlando. Support for LGBT
Okay, time for one of those long, annoying posts. Yup. If you don't care to read it, just keep scrolling. My feelings won't be hurt. Seriously, it's super long.
So I'm sure everyone is well aware of the tragedy in Orlando. Tragedy. That's exactly what it is. It doesn't matter if those victims were straight, bi, gay, trans, black, white, pink, Russian, American, Aborigines, or what have you. It doesn't matter. People were gunned down and killed. That's what matters.
It doesn't matter the race, color, beliefs, or ethnicity of the shooter. Not everyone that race, origin, or skin color believes the same that they did. That person had their own beliefs and reasonings. Don't blame their religion or ethnic group or anything else for that. That's called a stereotype. Those are bad.
It doesn't matter what type of gun they had or what weapons they used. Seriously. A gun isn't the ONLY weapon capable of killing someone. Did you know if you push on someone's nose hard enough with your palm you could kill them? Yup. So this isn't a Gun Law or Gun Ban issue. Should we ban all palms since THOSE can kill people too?
Actually, did you know that the Japanese and Chinese use to have contests to see who could kill 100 people the fastest with a sword? On a different note 671 people died in 2014 from accidental poisoning. So if we're banning guns, and fists, and swords, let's get rid of all chemicals too. Lesson: Anything in the hands of an upset person is a weapon. Anything.
Now onwards to a different matter. Lately I have heard (or seen) a lot of backlash about the LGBT community. Probably to do with these Unisex and Transgender issues arising around public places and restrooms...
I've even heard that the shootings in Orlando are "a punishment for their life choices." Okay. Back up. Let's back this truck up. Reverse please. Those people were souls. They were someone’s mother or father or sister or brother or child or love.
If a guy wants to sleep with a guy, go for it. If you're a girl who likes a girl, fine. If you like both, want to be both, or neither, know what? It's your body. Do what you want. As long as you're not making me change mine or hurting me, I don't care what you do. Seriously. Honestly.
"But it's against the Bible..."
Okay. True, if you want to play that game. Wanna know what else is against the Bible??
Bacon. Yup.You can't eat pork. In fact, you can't even touch a killed pig or any of it's parts. Sooo football is totally out too. Sorry guys.
Oh and cheese burgers. In fact, eating until you're full or overeating is a major sin. The Bible actually says to take a knife to your own throat if you indulge in gluttony. Woa. I'm dead like 578176767 times over then. And seafood isn't allowed either, by the way.
You're not suppose to wear gold. Or polyester. Or unnatural fabric. Wow. Who here has 100% cotton clothes only? Also lingerie is not allowed or anything tight, ripped, torn, or revealing. And to add to that, porn or masterbating are also a no-no. And braiding your hair. OR trimming your beard!
You can't divorce OR remarry, or work on Saturdays (That actually is the Sabbath day, not Sunday). Ladies? You're not allowed to speak in a church. And tattoos? Nooo waaaay.
So! If you really want to go the route of "Against the Bible" I hope you lead a very very veerrry clean life because it's awfully hypocritical of you to sin all these ways but draw a line at that one which doesn't fall into your life preference.
I have LGBT friends. I have LGBT family members. I love them. I support them. I'm all for their life choices because it's who THEY want to be and it makes THEM happy.
In short, you're welcome to your own opinion. I'm welcome to mine. They are welcome to theirs. Know what that is? Free choice. And that, my friends is the ONE thing I know God gave to us. Don't think you're better than anyone else and take their choice away. You've no right..
Thanks to those who hung out to the end of this. =)
