so i just had this realization as to why i won't watch doctor who/supernatural/sherlock

it's not because i think they're bad shows. i wouldn't know. and i've seen plenty of gifs and stills on tumblr to know that they have huge fanbases and therefore are probably good

BUT, i think about the fans. i think about who i've met that likes all or one of those shows, and how annoying they are. i get that not EVERYONE is like that, but... i had to deal with people like that all throughout high school. i tried to fit with them, and in the end they ended up nearly crushing my whole world. i think that's the real reason i avoid those shows. to avoid meeting and becoming friends with annoying fangirls/fanboys like my "friends" in high school. to avoid those fake people. (and the same goes for most anime too. those kids were such weeaboos it was nauseating)

i've also met my fair share of people who like those shows and AREN'T annoying as fuck, and i appreciate them. they're good friends of mine and i'd never hate on them, or anyone in general, for something that they liked. my friend Ryan for example has begged me to watch doctor who, but i pretty much refused. but he's still a great dude, very intellectual and funny, albeit a bit socially awkward. and he's still my friend, we talk about other stuff all the time. but, i just don't want to be sucked into and subjected to the same kind of "i wish this show was my reality so bad that i'm going to try everything in my power to make it so teeheehee" attitude from people. it's a "don't want to repeat the past" thing.

P.S. i tried watching supernatural because i think out of those 3 shows it has the least weirdo fanbase and i got 6 episodes in and decided it was too scary for me. LOL i'm a pussy tbh
