This book is the best "parenting" book I've read so far! I've been looking for something that closely resembles the method by which Nik and I were raised as opposed to the "helicopter parenting" foolery that I see a lot of today. I'm not making separate "kid-friendly" meals for my son, I'm not solving a crisis with a cookie, or teaching him to read and play piano at the age of two! We are going back to "old-school". I will not be negotiating with a "terrorist"...uhhh I mean toddler! NOPE, NOPE, NOPE! I know this works because it's the way I was raised and I saw it in Europe, where children were well mannered, calm, ate the same food as their parents and didn't have explosive tantrums.
