The details of the situation Soundwave may still be working out but he knows very well something is off here. Enough so that he couldn’t wave it off but instead keeping a close optic to it and focusing even more onto it. With what he had been working on put aside, he has more time to focus on one of them.
As quite and cool as ever, there is no raise from Soundwave. A blank screen greeting Starscream and still frame. At this point he’s used to Starscreams anger, but this doesn’t have the same bite as the rest. Call it from having heard/seen it enough times to take notice.
<< “ You are dodging the question “ >>
He didn’t hear a yes or no, the question simply dodged or at lest trying to direct to something else. If this was just a bad memory fritz then would it not be easy to say if there is a war going on or not? The war itself had been going on long enough to have some awareness about it and the end of it. Ah, that part flickers through the faceless mech that has a digit twitch.
Such an annoying end to say the lest.
He simply tilts his helm back to Starscream.
<< “ Depends on your answer “ >>
Soundwave is starting to be aware something else is going on, but the exact what, is still being worked on.
See, here's the conundrum: every post-war scenario Starscream has ended up in, Soundwave has been nowhere to be seen. He's never quite riddled out where the ingratiating loyalist has ferreted away to. It doesn't help that he can't seen to discern where they are, either -- it's quite dark, as Soundwave probably likes it. What a weirdo.
" Whatever, " he sighs, playing up the drama of being asked such a stupid question. " Obviously the war is over. What's the idea? Are you trying to make me question my sanity? "
He squints at the black void of Soundwave's visor, feinting confidence with every inch of his being. He's working very hard to keep the tiny tremor out of his wings, but it's still there. Maybe Soundwave will think it's his normal disposition and not something more. He hopes.
