YEAH IT CAUGHT ME SO OFF GUARD I'm used to just regular old butterfly needles and cannulas and I was expecting that I guess because I didn't know intravenous needles.. got any bigger than that?? So when the phlebotomist whipped that out and started putting it towards my arm my brain internally was like WAIT WAIT THERES A SMALLER ONE IN THERE RIGHT WAIT THATS NOT GOING IN IS IT OH FUCK IT IS which was summarized vocally by me impulsively going "oh that's a big boy" shfdjjfjdjfjd

Ngl it was painful, not excruciating but way more than a typical IV and scarier since like, when you get saline and whatever the metal part doesnt actually stay in you a little plastic thing does but this was like NOPE BIG METAL TUBE SITS RIGHT IN THERE

After the bag got filled my blood clotted before they could fill the like, little vacutainer vials and without those my blood cant be used for transfusions so I consented to getting stuck in the other arm with a normal vacutainer needle or whatever its called which was fine oof now both my arms are sore

Also all the phlebotomists were like TEHE YOU HAVE TINY VEINS LOOK AT YOUR CUTE LITTLE TINY VEINS SO ADORABLE and it felt like the doctor version of the HAHAHAHA HOW ARE YOU THAT SMALL meme (but not actually in an upsetting way)

Anyway so thats how all that went also they gave me free socks

It’s better this way. It’s much easier/acceptable to ask for digits if you see her again and show her that you remember her and stuff. I hope you cross paths again soon!

hey thanks for the kind words. i was planning on seeing her today, but work ended up taking too long, so now i’m aiming to cross paths with her tomorrow

i certainly tried, but i will have to give it another go when i don’t have motivation for other projects at the moment. it’s just too convoluted to continue to waste time on it - whenever i thought i was close/done, another thing would pop up...

i actually have a Vive but i only really play modded minecraft (currently skyfactory 3) which i don’t believe has support VR in the first place let alone modded in VR :/

Team Adventures

today on team adventures the Team managed to beat a filthy fucking aimbotting Mccree through careful teamwork, coordinated ults, and playing three tanks so we cant be one shot.

It was great you just need to kill the cheater first. Always focus cheater.

Whoa. Hard to beat Planetes. I must HIGHLY recommend "The Time of Eve". Legend of the Galactic Heroes has a great ensemble cast (start with "My Conquest is the Sea of Stars"). You've probably already seen Patlabor, but that also has an incredible ensemble cast- likewise with Irresponsible Captain Tylor. This isn't a rec, per se, but, when I was young, and didn't have lots of friends, it was the sense of community in Tenchi Universe that first really got me in to anime.

I’ve seen the Time of Eve ova’s but not the movie so I might do that next! Also I’ve been working through lotgh and really like it but the episode count is so daunting : p Patlabor is one of my favourite series ever! Don’t know how I forgot to mention that one.. I’ll also put captain tylor on the list, thanks for all the recs!
