     “I don’t know about this,” the brunette murmured in hesitation, her reflection in the mirror someone she hardly recognised. She could almost see it, her face, beneath all the makeup and the mask that disguised her identity. Hair pulled back in an effortless style updo, nails painted a soft nude. Heels that added length to her legs for days. Her fingertips latched onto the soft chiffon on her side, familiarising herself with the material. God—this was probably the most glam she’d ever been. “I don’t really wear this sort of stuff, Lan.”       The striking brunette laced with black and gold attire simply smiled, “It’s a masquerade, Sawyer — that’s the whole point. Nobody’s going to recognise you.” And a she stared at the masked figure before her, she realised Lani was right. “Just enjoy it.”                         This is like going undercover, Sawyer. It’s the same deal.
