Nolan will be a year old in less than a week. I'm terrified at how quickly this past year has passed. Everyone says it just goes by even faster from here on out. I'm not ready. As much as I miss sleep, I'm not ready for him to be a toddler, or preschooler, or teenager. I'm not ready for him to walk, or talk, or go to school, or become an independent little person. I just want to freeze him and keep him from growing up, I want to protect him and keep him in my arms forever. I want to shield him from this shit world and never watch him experience pain or heart break. I want to lock him up, away from all of the hatred, bitterness, violence, and destruction that takes place every single fucking day right in front of us. I don't want him to ever hurt, or be hurt, or hurt anyone else. I'm not ready for him to grow up, and I'm not ready to let go of my baby yet. Please, time, don't take my baby from me yet.

Nolan woke up around 2:20, I fed him, changed him and then laid him in his crib where he has been for about the past 10 minutes, it is now 3:05 and he has pretty much put himself to sleep (': I'm a proud mama. Baby's growing up ): lol Goodnight (:
