Nolan John // City Lights
After years of playing covers in churches, coffee shops, and smokey bars, Minnesota native Nolan John sat down one winter evening and tried his hand at songwriting. He wrote a tune called "City Lights", in which he reconciles his current life in the city with his rural upbringing.
In 2013 Nolan enlisted producer/bassist Jimmy Stofer (The Fray, Ryan Bingham) to record a few favorite songs. From those sessions came the debut EP, City Lights. Combining americana, pop, and alternative influences, it's old fashioned songwriting at its finest. With the sounds of softly strummed guitars and reverb-drenched falsetto, these four songs will carry you through the journey of youth, love, and summertime
