I am now the 2nd ever owner of this 1971 D-35 from @martinguitar. My dad purchased it new from a small shop in West Allis, WI, and it’s been with him ever since. After a recent visit out West, I’m proud to say it’s become a part of my instrumental family (and it sounds like no other acoustic I’ve played). The 3-piece back gives it a booming, bass-infused tone, and it just sings all around. After a LONG pause I'm finally doing a #FlattopFriday again! And it was totally worth the wait. . Here is a circa 1870-1880 #Martin 0-28. Yes...this #guitar is around 140 to 150 years old! Light as a feather, with original coffin case, and spotted on my visit to @folkwaymusic last weekend. I love small Martin guitars. #Size0 is the biggest I'd want my #vintageMartin to be. As you may know, there was a point in history when size 0 was the BIGGEST #guitar Martin made. Now it's their smallest! This is my ultimate #flattop right here! A magnificent Martin OM42 that was a recent visitor to the workshop. This guitar sounded amazing, but was in dire need of some attention. The existing frets were worn, causing buzzing and intonation issues.
