"Still roaming after all these years..."
I don’t mean to be so blue all the time…. But frankly I AM!
This really isn’t meant to be a pity party, but I have to say, I have spent most of my life as a modern nomad, and here I am in my 40th decade and have spent so much of my last few years living out of a suitcase… And these last few months have only extended this stint.
A summer here with friends after a job, followed by a visit to family up North… then soon back to a “home" that isn’t mine, only to pack up again— due to circumstances that are really beyond my control…
Still roaming after all these years… When all I wanted was a home, a place for my beloved and me; a home to have a baby, a dog play with us… “Blue drinks by the pool," he always wanted…
But no. Here I am The Traveling Widow. Unloading a Honda Fit every other state. Alone…
At least for the next jaunt, I’ll have Lily, the Traveling Dog, with me…
But how can I break this cycle? How do I find stability?
How can I find “Home" again?
Without you, my love, I have no “home."
